It’s well known that Cabo is a favorite vacation spot of NFL players. In fact, some of the biggest off-the-field storylines in the NFL over the past few years have taken place in Cabo.
The Cabo meeting between quarterback Matthew Stafford and Rams head coach Sean Mcvay that sparked a Super Bowl run has cemented itself in NFL lure.
Last season Giants player Xavier McKinney injured himself while vacationing in Cabo. Making headlines for completely different reasons, but in a sense cementing the relationship between the destination and the league.
Now it was New England Patriots’ linebacker Matthew Judon’s turn to head down to the Mexican Pacific. He seemed to have enjoyed a side of Cabo that most NFL players that come to the region willingly skip out on.
Matthew Was Spotted At Local Market In Cabo
From the picture that was uploaded by the fan that recognized Judon, we can see surroundings that may not be all that common for celebrity pictures in Los Cabos.
Since most of the high-profile celebs that come to the region prefer to spend the bulk of their time in Cabo at their all-inclusive resort or private villa.
However, it seems that Matthew was keen on taking in some of the small-town Mexico vibes that you can get in Los Cabos.

Especially in some of the markets and different spots that line the streets of San Jose del Cabo. Tourists like Judon can enjoy arguably less pretentious and considerably cheaper restaurants and bars in that part of Los Cabos.
Another fan that spotted the Patriots player at a restaurant in the area labeled Judon “a man of the people”.
The two are seen pictured with big smiles on their faces. Judging from the outfits that both of them were wearing, it’s safe to say that the spot that they were in is one of those laid-back restaurants in Cabo.
As previously stated, a lot of people think that Cabo is just high-end restaurants and clubs. That’s not necessarily the case. There are spots that can offer that Mexican beach town vibe of old that we’ve been referencing.
Judon Has Certainly Proven To Be A Man Of The People
Judon has proven to be a man of the people, as the twitter post suggested at multiple stops during his off-season vacations.
He took pictures with fans at what seemed like a music festival in North Carolina just last week. Proving that he’s in the chill vibe that he was also looking for in his Cabo stop.
Cabo is actually his second Mexico stop of the offseason. At least, judging from his Instagram page. Quite a few weeks ago, Judon uploaded pictures and videos from his Tulum vacation.
Here he can be seen dancing the day away at a Tulum beach. He also uploaded a group picture with all of his companions on that particular trip.
The Watts Seemingly Had A More Private Cabo Getaway
Judon may not have been the only member of the NFL fraternity that made a Cabo stop in the last few days.
Now former NFL player JJ Watt uploaded some vacation pictures of his family and what looks to be a Mexican beach town that very well could be anywhere in Cabo. JJ though did not confirm nor deny that he was in the Mexican Pacific.
The Watt brothers, though, are known Cabo regulars. JJ has been to Cabo at least a couple of times over the last 12 months. One of those stops was for the wedding of his brother and NFL linebacker TJ Watt.
Other NFL stars that are Cabo regulars include the aforementioned Rams head coach and quarterback duo of Stafford and McVay.
Oddly enough, former Rams quarterback, now with the Lions Jared Goff, is also known to enjoy the high-end Cabo dining scene. None of them seem to be as “man of the people” as the Patriots’ Matthew Judon.
