Coach And Players From American Football Team San Francisco 49ers Vacationing In Cabo During Off-Season

Now that the 2022 NFL season has ended, American football players and coaches are able to enjoy a little off time, spending time with their family and friends or taking a much-needed vacation.  And some players and coaches, like those from the San Francisco 49ers, do both and even spend some of their time off together.  Coach Kyle Shanahan and a number of players from the team shared on social media that that’s exactly what they’re doing, enjoying an off-season vacation in Cabo. 

San Francisco 49ers In Cabo 

In addition to Kyle Shanahan, some of the top players for the California-based 49ers football team are also vacationing in Cabo.  Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffery, George Kittle, Kyle Juszczyk, and Trent Williams can all be seen in various social media posts.  But what some fans are wondering is why quarterback Trey Lance isn’t in Cabo with the rest of the team’s top players and the team’s head coach.

The 49ers 2022 Season 

The 49ers had a great 2022 season, even if their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles made them lose out on making it to the 57th Super Bowl.  They did, however, make it to the NFC Championship but lost to the Eagles, who did go on to the sport’s biggest event.  The loss was attributed to, in part, the injuries of both of their active quarterbacks, starter Brock Purdy and back-up Josh Johnson, neither of which was seen vacationing with the other guys in Cabo either.

Coach And Players Enjoying Cabo 

On the various social media posts, the 49ers coach and players can be seen enjoying Cabo to the fullest, some with their significant others along for the trip.  One post shows the guys enjoying a little beach time, while another shows George Kittle and Trent Williams riding along the beach in a golf cart.  A video shared on Twitter shows Samuel, McCaffrey, Kittle, and Juszczyk on a quadruple date with their significant others at a Cabo restaurant.

49ers Fans’ Response To Players’ Cabo Vacation 

In addition to some fans taking to social media to ask where Trey Lance is, many also made comments on how they think the team should be spending their off-season time.  Multiple comments suggested that they should be going over film to start preparing for the next season.  Other fans were happy to see the team and Coach Shanahan vacationing together and getting along so well.

Coach and Players Vacationing Together 

Apparently, it is pretty unusual to see a coach vacationing with his team, but Shanahan can be seen right alongside his players having a good time.  While it may be unusual for most teams, fans have commented that this is the kind of culture that has been built up with the 49ers team.  And when you think about it, what better way to improve that culture than building the camaraderie between players and coach, as some fans have also pointed out on social media.

What’s Next For The 49ers? 

While the coach and team may be letting off a little steam and taking a much-needed break now, it won’t be long before they are back to work preparing for the 2023 season.  Training camp time is just around the corner for the players, and they’ll have to work hard if they want a shot at the Super Bowl next year.  But for now, Coach Shanahan, Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffery, George Kittle, Kyle Juszczyk, and Trent Williams seem to be enjoying their Cabo vacation.

The only thing that remains to be seen now is if they’ll be celebrating a Super Bowl win during next year’s off-season.
