No matter if the city is big or small, airlines know passengers are always dreaming of a sunny getaway. So what better place to go than Los Cabos for a beach trip?

That’s why these 2 low-cost airlines are adding more routes to one of Mexico’s premiere getaways. Whether you are on the east coast, midwest, or Canada, Los Cabos just became easier to reach.

More Flights From Southwest

One of America’s top low-cost carriers continues to add to its impressive network of fun destinations.

Southwest announced an abundance of new flight options to sunny getaways, just as Canada-based WestJet has. One of America’s favorite carriers already services many destinations in Mexico, including many to Los Cabos.

Two more cities were happy to hear the news that they will be added to the list. These cities often have bitterly cold winters.

So travelers will be chopping at the bit to get away for a sun-soaked vacay. The first new flight announced is out of Baltimore, Maryland, who hit the jackpot with 4 new beach routes.

Southwest will begin flying out of Baltimore to Los Cabos on March 9, 2024. This nonstop service will be offered only on Saturdays until further notice.

The other city to hit the jackpot is the Gateway to the West – St. Louis, Missouri. Also known for the brutal winter season, travelers from here would love more options for sunny escapes.

Southwest announced 4 beach getaways from St. Louis and will begin nonstop service to Los Cabos on March 9, 2024 as well.

More Flights From Canada

One of Canada’s top airlines is WestJet, based in Calgary. Recently, the low-cost carrier announced a wide expansion into many popular sunny destinations.

Canada is known for having frigid winters, so its not surprise our friendly neighbors to the North are always seeking some fun in the sun.

Many of the new flights will come to some of Mexico’s finest beach destinations, including Los Cabos.

The first new flight will take off from the coastal city of Victoria. This new schedule will begin on November 9, 2023. This nonstop flight will take place once per week so seats will be limited.

The second route offered by WestJet will be from a smaller city in the greater Vancouver area. Abbotsford is a suburb south of the gorgeous city of Vancouver, but still very convenient to access.

It’s important to differentiate Abbotsford’s airport is not the major airport of this region. That would be Vancouver International Airport in nearby Richmond.

Abbotsford is home to the Abbotsford International Airport, a much smaller airport compared to Vancouver.

That being said, Abbotsford is growing and a great alternative to Vancouver travelers for perhaps cheaper sunny getaways.

WestJet’s latest route from here will go to 2 of Mexico’s top beach destinations, one of those being Los Cabos. This nonstop route will begin from Abbotsford on December 4, 2023.

Just like the Victoria flight, this will also be offered only once per week. So it’s best to book in advance to make sure you get a seat!

Are Tickets On Sale Yet?

Both WestJet and Southwest will fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), where Uber is not available. However, it is easy to get a secure shuttle to reach your hotel with the latest improvements.

Tickets are on sale at both airlines websites and apps. Southwest recently announced their full flight schedule through April, 8 2024.

This means at current time, travelers wanting to fly from either Baltimore or St. Louis to Cabo will only be able to book a flight from March 8 to April 8, 2024, until Southwest extends their schedule again.
