Los Cabos municipal officials determined that the issue behind the smelly marina water was, unfortunately, a spill in the area of ​​the Tourist Assistance Center offices.

Recently, the Municipal Operating Agency of the Drinking Water System, Sewer and Sanitation of Los Cabos announced they have resolved the issue permanently with the installation of a new sanitary drainage pipe interconnection to completely eliminate the stinky issue.

They completed the repair strategically to have the least amount of impact to travelers visiting the shopping, dining and nightlife area.

It was uncovered that the old pipe simply collapsed with the passage of time.

However, they also urged tourists and businesses in the area to avoid tossing items that could potentially cause future blockages out of the sewer system.
