Los Cabos lovers can breathe again! One of the biggest complaints tourists have had about heading out to the popular Los Cabos marina area for the shopping, restaurants, and nightlife was the unappealing smell that wafted from the murky waters: and it has now been solved!
Local business owners appealed to Los Cabos officials to clean up the area so that it once again could be an appealing vacation destination for travelers.
They finally responded by resolving the issue and now the local marina businesses in Los Cabos are eager to welcome back visitors.
Clearing the Air
Los Cabos municipal officials determined that the issue behind the smelly marina water was, unfortunately, a spill in the area of the Tourist Assistance Center offices.
Recently, the Municipal Operating Agency of the Drinking Water System, Sewer and Sanitation of Los Cabos announced they have resolved the issue permanently with the installation of a new sanitary drainage pipe interconnection to completely eliminate the stinky issue.
They completed the repair strategically to have the least amount of impact to travelers visiting the shopping, dining and nightlife area.
It was uncovered that the old pipe simply collapsed with the passage of time.
However, they also urged tourists and businesses in the area to avoid tossing items that could potentially cause future blockages out of the sewer system.
With the repair, tourists no longer have to deal with the sewer smell when heading to the marina area to enjoy some leisure time on their vacation getaway.
Inviting Tourists Back
With the repair complete, businesses in the Los Cabos marina area are eager to welcome back travelers who avoided the popular shopping, dining and nightlife area due to the foul odor.
They are hoping that tourists who felt the odor gave the area a bad image in the minds of travelers will hopefully give them another chance to provide them with a great vacation experience.
