A new report revealed that Los Cabos is becoming extremely popular with younger tourists in particular. 

While Los Cabos has numerous attractions, younger tourists seem to be highly drawn to the activities, resorts, and dining options, above all else, and here’s why. 

Younger Tourists Are Flocking to Los Cabos  

Los Cabos is becoming one of the most popular destinations for younger travelers, according to a new study performed by the Tourism Trust, also known as FICTURA. 

The report found that 65% of tourists traveling to Los Cabos range in age from 26 to 45 years old. 

Lilzi Orcí Fregoso, the executive president of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, asserted that these younger tourists seem to be drawn to Los Cabos because of exclusive activities and opportunities that you can only find at the destination. 

She also said that the report concluded that the majority of tourists visiting Los Cabos seem to fall in the age range of 26 to 35 years old. 

Fregoso specified that what seems to attract the younger market the most are outdoor activities, gastronomic options, and more. 

Outdoor Activities 

While Los Cabos is primarily known for beach activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, parasailing, whale watching, swimming with dolphins, and more are incredibly popular, younger tourists have been drawn to outdoor activities in the wellness genre. 

According to Fregoso, outdoor activities like yoga and meditation have been a big draw for young Los Cabos tourists. 

Horseback riding, mountain climbing, swimming in hot springs, and more are also incredibly popular tourist activities for travelers who take day trips to other attractions near Los Cabos. 

Ecotourism is another form of outdoor activity that has become increasingly popular with Los Cabos tourists, as they can help conserve the environment while enjoying the great outdoors. 

One of the most popular ecotourism activities is coral reef restoration, where tourists can work with local officials to help preserve and replenish the coral reefs in Los Cabos. 

The Dining Options 

Another reason for Los Cabos’ skyrocketing popularity with younger tourists is because of the wide variety of gastronomic options to choose from. 

Ranging in price from affordable to fine dining, the Los Cabos food scene has something for everyone, is constantly growing, and only gets better with every passing year. 

The hotels and resorts have a wide variety of cuisines for guests to choose from, featuring the best of local Mexican cuisine, as well as cuisines from all over the world. 

There are also numerous local restaurants, as well as street vendors, offering a wide variety of foods for travelers to choose from. 

Los Cabos is also becoming one of the top destinations for foodies because the restaurants are soon to be rated by Michelin star representatives starting in 2024.
