It’s fair to say that almost everybody who visits Los Cabos probably goes for the beaches, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone likes to go swimming.

For some, the beaches of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo make for great scenery, but not much more.

For those who don’t want to go for a dip, these are the top 7 things to do at Los Cabos beaches.

Beach Club Hopping

Los Cabos, particularly Cabo San Lucas, is not only a beach destination but a party destination too, so it makes sense that they would have some great beach clubs.

Every beach club is different but typically you’ll find food and drink, music, and cabanas and daybeds right on the beach at the majority of them.

A few that are popular among tourists include Mango Deck Beach Club, Corazon Beach Club, Billygan’s Beach Club, and Bagatelle.

Taking A Boat Tour

If you don’t like to swim but you do like to enjoy the scenery, a boat tour is the way to go, and there are plenty of them.

Tours are offered at all different times throughout the day.

Some are just sightseeing tours, others include certain activities, some have an open bar and serve lunch or dinner, and others might include a show, like the Pirate Ship Sunset Dinner and Show cruise.

Sunbathing

Just because you don’t like to swim doesn’t mean you can’t spend some time soaking up the sun.

Many of the beaches in Los Cabos are unswimmable anyway, and it’s not hard to find vendors offering up loungers for rent.

The sun is hot, though, especially during the summer months, so sun protection is a must.

Kayaking Or Paddleboarding

Not all beaches in Los Cabos are ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding, but those that are, offer a great way to experience Los Cabos beaches.

Not only are both relaxing activities, but by being able to silently glide through the water, you have a better chance of seeing marine life.

Some of the best places to kayak and paddleboard include Santa Maria Bay, Medano Beach, Chileno Bay, and Lover’s Beach.

Souvenir Shopping

You might be surprised to find that the beaches in Los Cabos are also a great place to do some souvenir shopping.

Vendors set up camp or walk up and down the beaches all day, selling everything from hats and blankets to fruit and massages.

Often you can get good deals from the vendors too, likely better than at the actual souvenir shops, especially if you’re good at haggling.

People Watching

People-watching is a favorite pastime for many people, especially when visiting someplace new, and Los Cabos beaches are usually packed with people to watch.

You can sit back and relax and enjoy watching the people around you enjoy all that Los Cabos has to offer.

You might see tourists and locals parasailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, building sandcastles, and more.

Dining With A Sea View

Last but not least, one thing that everybody can appreciate doing on the beach is dining with a spectacular sea view, and the Sea of Cortez offers some breathtaking scenery.

There are numerous waterfront restaurants in both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo with some amazing views.

In Cabo San Lucas there’s The Office on the Beach, Fisherman’s Landing, Cascadas Beach Grill, and Edith’s, and in San Jose del Cabo there’s Javier’s Restaurant, 7 Seas, and The Hacienda Beach Grill, just to name a few that are definitely worth visiting.
