Los Cabos is having a historical, even record-breaking, growth in tourism.   

It started last year after the pandemic came to an end, with 25 percent growth for the year, and has continued into this year, with hundreds of thousands of tourists arriving in the destination already since January.   

It doesn’t look like this growth is going to slow down anytime soon, either.

Growth In Los Cabos 

Los Cabos, which has long been a popular vacation spot for celebrities, started growing in popularity as a mainstream tourist destination in the nineties.   

Back then, it was just an incredible beach vacation destination, but over the years, Los Cabos began to have more and more to offer tourists.   

Fast forward to last year, and Los Cabos saw around 25 percent growth in tourism for the year.   

And Los Cabos Tourism Board Managing Director, Rodrigo Esponda, thinks that this year “is going to be a historical year,” as tourism has already grown another 18 percent since January, and these five reasons are why:

Los Cabos Is A Destination For Nature Travel

Los Cabos isn’t just beaches and nightlife; there is actually a whole diverse natural landscape to be explored.

As popular as the many nature activities are in Los Cabos, exploring nature is not the only thing to do.   

There are endless activities that include everything from camel and horseback riding to sunset and snorkeling cruises.

Los Cabos Is A Place For Self-Care

One of the things that Los Cabos is very well-known for, especially among celebrities, is being a place for self-care.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol, St. Regis Los Cabos Quivira, and Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos are all new properties to open their doors this year.   

Altogether, there are nearly 6,000 hotel rooms in the vacation destination, spread out between about 30 different resort properties.
