To no surprise, Los Cabos continues to be a powerhouse for premiere beach vacations.

A new report form the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce has confirmed Los Cabos as one of the busiest beach destinations in Mexico this spring.

As thousands of tourists pour into Cabos’ stunning shores, the only real surprise might be that it’s not higher on the list.

Expensive costs haven’t seemed to deter travelers from Los Cabos thus far, and when looking at forecasts for the future, Los Cabos is still on par to have yet another record-setting year for tourism.

Spring is undoubtedly one of the best times to visit Los Cabos and the numbers back it up with 82% occupancy rates and expected to shoot even higher.

One Of The Most Iconic Spring Break Destinations For Years

Travelers far and wide come to Los Cabos for a variety of reasons, but the common denominator to is splurge on luxury in one of the best beaches destinations in North America.

With a wide-ranging network of direct flights across the U.S. and even Europe now, Spring Break in Cabo is all the more alluring, with less time in the skies and more time at the beach.

Los Cabos has long been an iconic destination to let loose after brutal winter temperatures and long hours on campus studying for exams.

We’re all entitled to a vacation every now and then, but many take time in spring to vacation in paradise.

There are many aspects to Spring Break travel while the college crowd lets loose in more adult-themed ways than say a family vacation during the same time period.

Nonetheless, Cabo welcomes all, and it’s no surprise travelers continue to flock here at this time of year.

Arguably The Safest Beach Destination In Mexico

All you have to do is take one look at Cabo’s landscape to see its economy thrives on tourism.

As such, security operations are launched throughout the year to better protect tourists and to not be harsh, but their own image as well.

They say there’s no such thing as bad press, but that’s not necessarily true when travelers are looking to plan a trip and come across reports of danger.

Fortunately, tourists are very rarely ever affected by crime. In fact, the Mexican Navy is being deployed to some of the most commonly visited areas of Cabo to ensure this continues.

While the U.S. Embassy did issue a travel alert for Mexico this spring, Los Cabos remains safe and there have been no reports to indicate otherwise in terms of tourists safety.

If history repeats itself, there will surely be even more security operations being implemented to maintain their status as one of the safest beach destinations in Mexico.

More Crowds in The Coming Weeks

As occupancy rates continue to rise in Los Cabos, naturally, crowds may be a nuisance to some tourists seeking bliss on their Cabo getaway.

Many resorts lining Cabo’s pristine beaches will become jam-packed, which may be one reason why one of Cabo’s best alternatives has become the top destination for Airbnbs.

The last thing anyone wants to do is add one more thing to their list, so putting in effort to avoid the crowds can be quite frustrating.

The good news is there are many sides to Los Cabos and some more secluded resorts to consider, such as the 5-star Montage or one of the most unique resorts in the region, Acre.

Where Los Cabos Ranks Right Now In Mexico

Los Cabos finds itself in some close competition to be the top dog in Mexico’s tourism industry. The latest reports show very narrow margins between the most popular beach destinations.

Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Maya are expected to be the busiest to finish off March, with occupancy rates between 83 – 85%, while Los Cabos, Cancun, and the underrated beach town Huatulco are currently at 82% and growing.

Cancun is the most popular international destination year-round for Americans, so Los Cabos is in good company as the number one spot in Baja.
