According to a study conducted by travel analytics company ForwardKeys, Los Cabos experienced the second-biggest jump in the number of visitors that it welcomed compared to 2019. Through the end of 2022 around 22% more tourists are going to be visiting Los Cabos, than the number of tourists that came to the region in 2019. The only other city in the entire world that saw better numbers was Antalya in Turkey, which has seen 66% more people arriving in 2022 than it’s pre pandemic totals in 2019.

What makes Los Cabos one of the world’s leading travel destinations? There are multiple factors that we could potentially highlight that range from the unique luxury experiences available in the region to “natural benefits” that Los Cabos offers. Here are some of the reasons why Los Cabos is a world leading beach destination with room to grow.

A Beach With Mild Weather

Mexican beaches are usually synonyms with bright sunshine almost all year around. Los Cabos is not the exception to the rule. Cabo can experience 90 degree days over the summer months, with some days going over the 90 degree mark. More tourists though visit Los Cabos through the winter months from around November to March.

In these months local and tourists enjoy high 70s to low 80 degree weather. For most people that’s hot enough to be able to enjoy tanning at El Medano beach, without necessarily feeling lethargic due to heat exposure or even being too worried about any negative side effects that could come about from enjoying the sun. It’s still a good idea to take care of one’s skin with sunscreen, but overall the weather is hot, but manageable. Throughout the aforementioned months of the year a city like Los Angeles experiences temperatures in the high 60s and low 70s. Which is a little too cold to sunbathe on local beaches.

Some of The Cleanest Beaches In Mexico

Speaking of beaches, the Los Cabos region in the Pacific has certain advantages over its counterparts in the Mexican Caribbean. Cabo beaches have not been plagued with the foul smelling seaweed known as Sargassum that has overtaken some beaches in other popular beach cities like Cancun in Mexico and even famous travel destinations like Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

On top of that, Cabo features popular surf spots like Acapulquito beach in San Jose del Cabo. It’s also home to a popular diving reserve known as Cabo Pulmo. Here divers can expect to have all sorts of wildlife encounters with the vast biodiversity that the area boasts. While even having the chance to explore a shipwreck. There’s of course an opportunity for tourists who are not as adventurous to also have their own wildlife encounters. Whale watching is one of the activities that Los Cabos is heavily known for. Whales arrive in the region from December through April with the peak months of the season traditionally running from January to March.

Unique Experiences Available For Travelers

Los Cabos resorts are essentially pioneers in a relatively new travel trend. Many high-end local resorts offer all-inclusive deals to guests. Traditionally all inclusive deals in beach cities were offered by lower tier hotels. That’s a trend that’s been shifting for a while, and really changed completely throughout the COVID pandemic.

High-end resorts realized that people felt safer on property during these days, so they started offering all inclusive travel packages to guests. The Hyatt Ziva brand is usually reserved for some of the most luxurious resorts that Hyatt hotels run. It offers all inclusive packages to guests in its Los Cabos property. Something that is not typical of hotels under the Hyatt Ziva label. Other 5-star facilities like the Garza Blanca resort and the Grand Velas also offer all inclusive deals to guests. This essentially proves that Cabo has a lot to offer. Travelers from all over the world are taking notice.
