Many of the tourists who visit Los Cabos seek out all-inclusive resorts for their stay because they offer a combination of luxury and value.  Some, of course, are more extravagant than others, though, and that is definitely reflected in the price for the nightly rate.  But while the majority of travelers don’t necessarily want to pay the high cost for a five-star resort, they do want and expect comfortable accommodations, which can be found in four-star resorts too.  To give you an idea of what that might cost, we’ll tell you what you can expect to pay for a four-star all-inclusive in Los Cabos this winter.

There are more than 30 all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos, which includes Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.  Some of these resorts are situated near the marina in Cabo San Lucas, and others are nestled into the coastline along the tourist corridor that separates the two popular destinations, and these are the most desirable locations.  There are also resorts in various other locations throughout both cities, on the outskirts or in downtown areas, for example, and there are some great properties in these areas as well.

Out of these 30 or so all-inclusive resorts that are available on Booking.com at any given time this winter, only a handful of them are four stars.  This is because, surprisingly, there are more five-star all-inclusives than four-stars, but they come with a five-star price tag too.  The few four-star all-inclusives that do exist vary considerably in price for the specific dates in February that we did a search for.

We looked at five resorts that were each rated 4 stars on Booking.com, but have varying review ratings between 7.8 and 8.4.  Surprisingly, the most expensive resort we looked at out of the five is not the one with the highest star rating or review rating, although it is a fantastic resort.  The dates we searched were for a four-night stay for two people from February 21-25, 2023, and we’ll share the names, locations, ratings, and prices below.

Value vs. Rating

As you can see here, value and high ratings are not mutually exclusive.  In fact, the highest-rated four-star resort in regard to review ratings is the second least expensive for the chosen dates.  Furthermore, the resort with the second lowest review rating is the most expensive on this list, proving that the best doesn’t always mean the most expensive when it comes to all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos.

Cabo, which is the name commonly used to refer to both San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, is known for being one of the pricier Mexican vacation destinations.  It is extremely popular among American tourists and is frequented by Hollywood celebrities.  That being said, it is also very accessible to tourists from the U.S. due to its close proximity to the states, and this is one of the main reasons for its increasing popularity for American travelers.

There are 20 or more direct flights available from U.S. cities to Los Cabos at any given time, depending on the season.  That, combined with the range of luxury all-inclusives available for almost any vacation budget, are perfect reasons to make Los Cabos your winter getaway destination this year.
