We covered Los Cabos as a top Spring Break destination this year, given TripAdvisor’s recommendation, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Spring hasn’t sprung just yet. Winter is still here, and there are plenty of awesome places to soak in some much-needed winter sun.

Of course, Mexico is always at the top of the list. Not to say Los Cabos isn’t a desirable getaway in the wintertime, but the charming town of Todos Santos is stealing the attention for February.

Named among the 10 best places worldwide to visit in February, TripAdvisor is sticking its neck out for one of Cabo travelers’ favorite day-trip destinations and encouraging travelers to see this magical town as more than just a blip on their itinerary.

78 And Sunny

As temperatures have plummeted in the dead of winter, travelers seek winter sun anywhere they can.

Vacation hotspots like Los Cabos tend to highlight the wishlist, but TripAdvisor suggests not skipping the nearby pueblo magico as your next winter getaway.

First and foremost, the weather is phenomenal. Averaging anywhere from lows of 57 to highs of 78, you are destined to enjoy your time catching rays and waves.

Visiting between November and March is great weather-wise, but that’s not the only reason why Todos Santos is such a draw right now.

Ocean Safaris

You can’t really go wrong when it comes to exploring the vast sea anywhere in southern Baja. From Los Cabos to La Paz to Todos Santos, whale-watching tours draw in tourists to make lifelong memories with the ocean’s gentle giants.

The problem is whale migrations are seasonal, so this stunning sight can only be witnessed mostly from November to March.

Given Todos Santos’ prime real estate, there are few better places to experience one of the region’s most popular tours as whales pass through like a ‘superhighway’.

Particularly, the Ocean Safari from the town’s recently remodeled resort – the lavish Paradero, a desert oasis where sea meets the desert.

The hotel’s ocean experience is a must for all who have an appreciation for nature and wildlife. Along with multiple species of whales, vacationers have the chance to see manta rays, dolphins and sea lions as well.

Oozing With Charm And Luxury

The latest addition to Todos Santos’s luxurious hotel scene is quite unsuspecting at first glance. With only 10 rooms on site, you may have to better luck scoring an Applebee’s Date Night Pass.

Located in the center of town, this historic 1890’s property rightfully named the Todos Santos Boutique Hotel has been revamped with a mix of old and new and allows guests to stay in a premiere location to easily explore what Todos Santos is all about.

Incredible beaches are nearby outside of town, but the art scene has long been a staple of Todos Santos even before it became a trendy destination.

There may be no better time for art lovers to visit since the Todos Santos Open Studio Tour is set to take place with over 50 artists showcasing their craftsmanship.

The vibrant streets are packed with delightful installations and galleries to spend hours perusing local artisans’ works.

Where Todos Santos Ranks Amongst Other February Destinations

TripAdvisor compiled a list of 10 destinations perfect for February based on a variety of reasons. As an example, Todos Santos is catered to ‘wannabe marine biologists’.

The list is quite literally all over the map with Todos Santos being the only Mexican location.

Todos Santos has only been trending upward, however. Being able to venture off for a sunny vacation where authenticity isn’t sacrificed to cater to tourists shouldn’t be taken for granted.
