When we picture taking a trip to Los Cabos, we picture swank resorts, beautiful beaches and, of course, the famous El Arco.
There are many different ways to explore Los Cabos or you can not explore at all and find pure bliss poolside sipping margaritas.
However, it seems more and more regions of southern Baja are becoming more popular, whether as day trips, weekend getaways or mainstays.
La Paz is one coastal city near Cabo that is trending with tourists this winter. Another is a much smaller town on the opposite coast – Todos Santos.
This delightful town should be on your radar for a laundry list of reasons, but a revamped hotel in the center of town supersedes all of them.
Travelers in southern Baja will soon be able to stay in the most charming hotel anywhere near Los Cabos.
Todos Santos Boutique Hotel
News has been hush-hush about the latest developments of what was formally the Todos Santos Inn. Condé Nast released their list of the Most Exciting Hotel Openings of Winter 2024, where the soon-to-open Todos Santos Boutique Hotel made the cut.
No opening date has been formally announced, but it seems the expectations are the doors will be open by spring 2024.
The hotel’s Instagram page hasn’t been touched since 2021 – only an updated username. What we know is the location couldn’t be better for an escape for quintessential small-town Mexico.
If it’s any consolation, the former Todos Santos Inn held a high rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 on Google, so surely it will only be better with the latest upgrades.
As Todos Santos has picked up steam on travelers’ radars, this meticulously remodeled boutique stay should be at the top of your list to escape the crowds of busy Los Cabos and relax in this quaint beach getaway.
Located smack dab in the city center, this historic property dating back to the 1800s will light up with a fresh look while still holding on to its magic.
Guests will be able to walk around the safe small town and peruse local artisan shops and restaurants and be within short distance from the town’s famous tranquil beaches.
A Numbers Game
As all-inclusive resorts are typically the go-to for vacationers in Baja, opting for a boutique stay is an excellent alternative.
Travelers won’t have to worry about a lack of elbow room like some overcrowded beach resorts when staying at the Todos Santos Boutique Hotel.
In fact, if there’s any inconvenience at all it may be simply being able to book a room! This hotel stays true to the ’boutique’ tag as there are only 10 rooms to choose from, which the hotel describes as “sumptuous chambers”.
Now under new ownership, the goal was to bring the hotel’s charming character back but no rooms have been added with the aim to offer an intimate, authentic stay for guests.
With over 4.5 million tourists expected to visit Los Cabos next year, surely tens of thousands will make their way to Todos Santos as well.
According to the hotel’s official website, there is no booking feature as of yet. However, there is a contact form.
If this type of stay tickles your fancy, it’s best to reach out before you find yourself in a fight over the 10 keys available.
Expected Price And Latest Upgrades
Los Cabos vacationers are no strangers to sky-high prices, so it shouldn’t be a total shock for the expected rates of this newly renovated hotel.
According to Condé Nast, nightly rates are expected in the $1300 range. So, one has to ask themselves if it is worth the splurge.
In comparison, Cabo resorts have fluctuated all year, ranging from a few hundred dollars to over $1000, depending on the time of year, among other factors.
While not an all-inclusive hotel, guests will have access to a concierge to guide you through the ins and outs of this charming town.
Formerly Copa Cocina, the popular ground-floor restaurant, will be rebranded with a new look and mouth-watering menu.
Lastly, guests can spend countless hours at the pool, along with a separate pool bar and terrace bar on site.
