Los Cabos luxury travelers have a newly renovated choice for them as part of the Marriott Autograph Collection of resorts.
The worldwide resort chain debuted the newly renovated Hacienda del Mar resort in Los Cabos that blends the traditional old-world Mexican charm of the region with new luxury service and amenities which are setting the trend for the new Los Cabos.
Welcome Home to Los Cabos
Stepping into the newly renovated Hacienda del Mar resort in Los Cabos, guests are automatically transported into a traditional Mexican hacienda, also known as a large classic estate.
The entire boutique property hosts 270 guest rooms for visitors dressed in authentic Mexican hacienda design with large post beds and elegant drapes and benches at the foot of the beds.
Beautifully designed heavy wood furniture in rustic tones adds to some of the classic and authentic feel of the rooms and décor.
Many of the flooring in the newly redesigned rooms carry forward the traditional design elements, with many having Mexican ceramic tiles and others hosting warm and elegant hardwood floors.
There are several different types of rooms for guests to select from, including the Hacienda and Baja guest rooms. There is even a bi-level deluxe guest room.
The suites include the Misiones, Patron’s and Arcos floor plans hosting up to four bedrooms in one suite.
New Luxury Amenities
The newly renovated Hacienda del Mar resort in Los Cabos has seven different restaurants and bars available for guests to enjoy.
The food offerings include traditional Mexican food, a restaurant catering to Pacific Coast cuisine, and an interesting Asian-fusion restaurant.
Of course, the classic breakfast buffet found at many resorts in Los Cabos also has a wide variety of food selections all the way to a class American breakfast.
For luxury travelers, guests at the Hacienda del Mar resort can also enjoy a relaxing treatment at the resort’s Cactus Spa or enjoy a round of golf at the nearby Cabo del Sol golf course.
Investing in Los Cabos
The renovation of the Hacienda del Mar resort in Los Cabos shows the recent efforts of Marriott to raise the bar at their properties to accommodate the specific needs of the growing luxury traveler segment in Los Cabos.
It is also representative of the larger overall trends in Los Cabos to focus on luxury travel connected to wellness and sustainability.
While many resorts have opted for a more modern look and feel to many of the new and renovated resorts in Los Cabos, Marriott opted for the more authentic and traditional elements to decorate Hacienda del Mar.
“With a clear vision of positioning the resort as an ambassador of authentic Mexican culture, [Hacienda del Mar’s General Manager] Federico [Rubido] will lead a team dedicated to enhancing the guest experience and celebrating the cultural diversity of Mexico,” the resort added in a statement.
The resort added that the intent of the redesign was to showcase the heritage of the Mexican heritage and reflect the diversity of its many regions in one beach resort destination.
