One of the things that Los Cabos is most well known for is its luxury hotels, and there’s no shortage of them to choose from.

Whether you want to stay in Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, or along the peaceful Tourist Corridor, you won’t have trouble finding luxury accommodations.

This year, new properties will be opening too, even as Los Cabos has more luxury hotels than ever, as the destination skyrockets in popularity.

Los Cabos’ Luxury Offerings

There are more than 100 hotels in Los Cabos, spread out between the three main areas.

Those areas include Cabo San Lucas, the connecting Tourist Corridor, and San Jose del Cabo.

Throughout these areas, you’ll find a range of luxury hotels that includes traditional hotels, all-inclusives, and boutique hotels.

This year, the number of rooms available in the destination is expected to reach more than 20,000 in total, many of which are luxury accommodations.

Traditional Vs. All-Inclusive

The two main types of luxury hotels to choose from in Los Cabos are traditional hotels and all-inclusives.

In traditional hotels you might find one that includes breakfast, but for the most part, you’ll have to pay for everything separately, and Los Cabos isn’t a cheap vacation destination by any standards.

In an all-inclusive, your nightly rate covers all of your dining and beverages, and even some activities and entertainment.

Why All-Inclusives In Cabo Are More Luxurious Than Ever

For years all-inclusive hotels and resorts have been considered overrated, but what you’ll find in Los Cabos does not fall into this category.

Quite different from the all-inclusives many of us have come to expect, with institutional buffets and cheap drinks, many of the ones in Los Cabos are known for gourmet dining options, premium beverages, and even 24-hour in-room dining.

Furthermore, the service is beyond expectations as well, with several luxury all-inclusives offering private butler or concierge services.

@thequeenfoodie It was my first time going to Los Cabos Mexico! I had such an amazing stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos 🌴 First off, I have to mention how incredible the service was at this resort! Everybody was constantly checking in and making sure we had everything we needed – this truly made such a difference! The resort itself was super COOL! They have a ton of fun music memorabilia throughout the resort from Madonnas outfits to Miley Cyrus’ guitar. All of the pools were super nice too, and I LOVED the poolside dining 😎 What an amazing trip! Best Luxury Hotels In Los Cabos

Some of the all-inclusives in Los Cabos have landed on some pretty prestigious lists highlighting the best hotels in Mexico and around the world.

Most recently, U.S. News & World Report named four Los Cabos luxury resorts as the best in Mexico.

Those resorts are:

  • Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
  • Grand Velas Los Cabos
  • Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection

Where To Stay In Los Cabos

You have three different options when staying in Los Cabos.

If you’re looking for all of the excitement of a tourist destination, then Cabo San Lucas is the place to be.

If you’re looking for a more peaceful vacation, then the Tourist Corridor is your best option.

San Jose del Cabo is pretty quiet too, and has the added benefit of exuding authenticity and charm.

Each area has something to offer, albeit different from the next.

What You Can Expect To Pay For Luxury In Los Cabos

Hotel rates range considerably depending on several factors, particularly the time of year and demand.

To get a general idea of what you can expect to pay for luxury in Los Cabos, though, we’ll give you an overall range during one of the busiest times of the year, spring break.

Right now rates are falling between around $100 a night and more than $2,000 a night for the most highly rated properties for dates in April.

During the fall months, you can expect to pay much less for your Los Cabos vacation.
