The massive corporation Hyatt Hotels has recently announced the construction of a new resort in Los Cabos. Hyatt is extremely well known in the hospitality industry, having over 1300 hotels worldwide.
In 2023, this multinational company acquired Dream Hotel Group, a portfolio of hotel brands including The Chatwal, Dream Hotels, Unscripted Hotels, and The Time New York. Since then, Hyatt has kept expanding with new properties across the world.
Over the last few years, the brand has quadrupled its lifestyle rooms, tripled its resort rooms, and doubled its luxury rooms in a neverending expansion trend. At the moment, Hyatt’s lifestyle, luxury, and resort hotels make up over 40% of the company’s total properties.
This massive corporation is currently planning to build 30 new resorts in the Americas, one of which, Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol, will be located in the Los Cabos municipality.
All you need to know about Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol
Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol will soon become the first Park Hyatt hotel in the whole of Mexico. It will feature a master-planned golf resort with 163 ocean-view guestrooms and suites and 19 villas and residences.
This property will be characterized by state-of-the-art amenities, including several pools, a golf course, a spa, a fitness and wellness center, as well as over 35,000 square feet dedicated to meetings and events spaces.
Concerning cuisine, Hyatt has declared that Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol will be home to a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant as well as a Mexican restaurant.
The resort will be located about 20 minutes from the center of Cabo San Lucas and works are set to be finished by 2024.
Other Park Hyatt Resorts coming up soon
Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol is only one of the many Hyatt resorts that will soon open its doors to foreigners and locals alike in Mexico.
This massive corporation is also planning to open another hotel called Dream Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California. This property will incorporate a large vineyard, 61 guest rooms as well as a number of luxury services such as a spa, a pool, and several restaurants.
Another hotel by the name of Hyatt Centric Querétaro will also open in the city of Querétaro, in central Mexico. Works are set to be over by 2025 and the hotel will feature 105 modern guest rooms and a rooftop pool.
Last but not least, Hyatt is also currently working on a new Park Hyatt located in Mexico City. This will offer tourists 155 guestrooms and will be situated on the upscale Campos Eliseos Street, with a stunning view over Mexico City’s Chapultepec Park.
Four more resorts coming to Los Cabos in 2024
Of course, Hyatt was not the only massive hotel corporation to have noticed the recent increase in international tourists in Los Cabos. Several other companies are now working on a number of resorts, all-inclusive, and hotels in the municipality.
Among these, one of the most popular is surely the Grand Velas Boutique. This new building will be focused on opulent simplicity and will feature 79 private terrace suites.
St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira is another property on the Los Cabos coming-soon list. This hotel will be located on the beach on the Sea of Cortez, occupying about 2.5 miles on the coast.
Another great resort coming up in Los Cabos is the Four Seasons Resort and Residence. This building will be located in Cabo del Sol and will feature three oceanfront pools and private garden spa treatment rooms.
Of course, we cannot forget Amanvari. This resort will feature hotel accommodations, as well as residences and multiple restaurants.
With all the options available, tourists can sometimes feel overwhelmed with choices. Luckily, Los Cabo’s all-inclusive resorts have found a way to offer visitors access to multiple properties within a single holiday.
Those wanting to visit more than one resort can purchase a resort day pass. These allow tourists to enjoy the facilities of a certain all-inclusive, hotel, or resort for the duration of a day, giving visitors the possibility to try the different amenities available in different luxurious properties in the area.

Just what they need, a northern freaking resort. Cabo all ready over built. The Mexican government is allowing the destruction of a fragile environment by allowing these new developments in a area that is suffering from electrical and water shortages. Yhe excuse is that the resort have generators and desalination for their needs. The problem arises that more Mexican move from other areas for employment in the resorts and there is not enough water and electricity for new residents.
