Travel & Leisure Magazine just released their list of the best hotels in the world according to their readers. The publication conducts a yearly survey where actual travelers are able to vote on which hotels provide the best overall experience.

When it comes to hotels in Mexico most travelers agree that Cabo is the place to be for a premium experience.

Proof of that is the fact that Travel & Leisure’s list of the 25 best hotels in Mexico for 2023 includes 5 Cabo-based properties. 

The Waldorf Astoria Hotel In Cabo Leads The Way Again 

The Waldorf Astoria at El Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas is the highest-rated Cabo property on the Travel & Leisure list.

It came in second place this year, getting beat out by the Hotel Xcaret Arte in Playa del Carmen.

Recent visitors mention that staff is ready and willing to cater to any request “within reason” that you may have.

Another recent guest mentioned that she felt like Cleopatra on vacation. Even travelers who style themselves as “Cabo regulars” mentioned that they had never experienced the level of high-end service that you can get at this property.

Tourists have all their needs catered to here while sitting on a terrace that’s based on a cliffside that overlooks the Cabo bay with the famous arch in the background. Simply put, the experience is hard to beat.

The One&Only Palmilla Resort Couldn’t Be Left Off The List

This is one of the resorts that has embraced a bit of a holistic vibe. Tourists who come here enjoy the welcome ritual that, of course, includes a complimentary cocktail.

To get the best experience, previous guests recommend booking rooms with private edge pools that overlook the ocean.

As is the case with many of the resorts on the list, to fully enjoy everything the One&Only Palmilla has to offer, travelers may want to spend a considerable part of their Cabo vacation within the resort, especially if they want to enjoy things like the guided meditation options along with the food, drinks, and other great amenities at this hotel.

All Of The Cabo Properties, Including The Cape, A Thompson Hotel, Made The Top 10

The final Cabo hotel on Travel & Leisure’s top 25 list of the best hotels in Mexico came in at number 8. It was The Cape, A Thompson Hotel.

This hotel is closer to some of the more vibrant parts of Cabo. Guests do enjoy the hotel amenities, like the complimentary tequila bottle that many claimed to have received.

Out of all of the options on the list, though, this may just be the best for travelers who want to take in what the hotel has to offer but at the same time get out on the town at least a couple nights.

The premium service and the views of the sunset in the Cabo bay from the infinity pool make this hotel a treat.
