Year after year, Los Cabos keeps growing its popularity, getting the attention of massive hotel corporations from all over the world.

Considering its fame as one of the most luxurious destinations in Mexico, it is not too surprising to see hotels such as the Four Seasons Resort expanding their rooms and suites to keep welcoming more tourists

Talking about this positive trend, Lilzy Orecí Fregoso, Executive President of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, declared that over 600 rooms will be built in the municipality in 2024 and that more will be added in the following years: “There are many more that are under construction (…) we estimate [there] will be 2,000 [more] in three years.”

But what are some of the hotels coming to Los Cabos in 2024?

Park Hyatt Los Cabos

Park Hyatt Los Cabos will be the first hotel in Mexico seeking to find harmony with its surroundings. But what does this mean in practice?

The hotel will be made from materials sourced locally and will aim to create an interior design in complete harmony with its surrounding landscapes.

Park Hyatt will feature 160 luxury rooms and 28 residences. On top of this, the property will have a spa, a fitness and wellness center, as well as several pools to enjoy the water even on those days when the ocean is inaccessible.

In terms of food, Park Hyatt will be home to two main restaurants serving Mediterranean-inspired and Mexican dishes.

Soho House

This property should open its doors to tourists in the second half of 2024 and will feature a total of 70 rooms.

Soho House house will be located in the famous tourist corridor, a stretch of land about 20 miles long connecting San José del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas and home to some of the most luxurious properties in the municipality.

This company has currently over 40 clubs all over the world and is now planning to open more properties. Initially targeting people in the arts and media, Soho House is now opening its doors to all creative travelers.

Unfortunately, it is still unclear what type of amenities Soho House Los Cabos will offer to its guests.

The Aman Hotel

Last on our list is the Aman Hotel. This property will be located on Cabo del Este, offering spectacular views of the Sea of Cortez.

About a 45-minute drive from San José International Airport, this is the perfect accommodation for those looking for some quiet time during their Los Cabos vacation.

The property will have the name of Amanvari, a Sanskrit-derived word meaning “peace” and “water”. Amanvari will be characterized by an organic and contemporary design, internal courtyards, and a lounge area.

Talking about this project, Chairman and CEO of Aman, Vladislav Doronin said: “The raw landscape on the East Cape of the Baja Peninsula, is a fitting location for our first destination in Mexico and illustrates our continued commitment to curating resorts of architectural distinction. We look forward to delivering an adventure that is a cultural and spiritual odyssey, as well as a discovery and celebration of its terroir.”

The new Aman Hotel will have 20 bi-level pavilions featuring floor-to-ceiling windows opening to outdoor terraces.

Some of the amenities also include a 100-foot infinity pool, a library, and three organic restaurants where to eat delicious local food.

On top of this, this residence will offer its guests the possibility to join several activities to truly immerse themselves in the local culture, such as whale watching tours, sailing and fishing expeditions, as well as visits to freshwater ponds with local biologists.

Beware of scams

These new openings are surely thrilling but tourists shouldn’t let their excitement take over. Los Cabos authorities have recently announced that several websites are now offering fake bookings to popular resorts and properties, especially to those that haven’t opened yet.

All visitors interested in booking a room or residence in these new upcoming properties should contact these companies directly avoiding booking reservations from third-party websites.
