Los Cabos is known for its beaches, and it has plenty of beaches for everyone.

While some of those beaches may be unswimmable, that doesn’t mean that they can’t be enjoyed by those that don’t care about swimming.

In fact, each beach has something a little bit different to offer, and below are the best beaches for every type of traveler, including those who are just looking for somewhere to relax.

Partygoers Looking For A Good Time

The best beach for partygoers that want to have a good time is without a doubt Medano Beach.

It is located right in the heart of the Cabo San Lucas tourist area, so it’s surrounded by hotels, restaurants, bars, and shopping.

On the beach itself, you’ll find numerous beach clubs and cantinas to have a few drinks during your visit and even some more lively establishments with live music and party vibes.

Solo Travelers Seeking “Me Time”

There are actually more quiet beaches than there are crowded ones in Los Cabos, so finding the perfect spot for some “me time” shouldn’t be a problem.

If you’re traveling solo, you may want to have at least a few people around, though, and fortunately, there are a few great beaches with just the right size crowds.

Santa Maria Beach is usually pretty peaceful, especially during the week, and there are facilities available, and usually, someone renting umbrellas, so you can get some shade and spend the day.

Families Wanting To Have Fun

The beach is a great place to enjoy some family time and there are numerous suitable beaches for some family fun.

If the family wants to enjoy some snorkeling in addition to swimming, the best beaches are Santa Maria Beach, Chileno Beach, and Lover’s Beach.

If your family is looking for a little more excitement, Medano Beach is excellent too, but you can expect it to be pretty crowded.

Adventure Seekers Looking For An Adrenaline Rush

Medano Beach, in addition to being a great party beach, is also the place to go for some adrenaline-pumping fun.

All kinds of water activities are offered at Medano Beach, including kayak and paddleboard rentals, boat tours, and even more adventurous activities like parasailing, jet skiing, and flyboarding.

For those that like to get their adrenaline rush from surfing, there are a number of great beaches for that too, including various spots along Costa Azul, El Tule Beach, and Monuments Beach.

Sunbathers Seeking Solitude

Lover’s Beach, especially in the morning, is a paradise for sunbathers seeking a little bit of solitude in a busy vacation destination.

It’s not far from everything else Cabo San Lucas has to offer, but you’ll have to kayak either, paddleboard, or take a water taxi to get there.

Other great beaches for some quiet sunbathing are Santa Maria Beach, the not-so-well-known Cannery Beaches, and Playa Palmilla.

Photo Takers Looking For Instagrammable Pics

Any place in Los Cabos is a good place to get a photo for Instagram.

But if you’re looking for the most Instagrammable beaches, you’ll need to take a little boat ride to get to Lover’s Beach and Divorce Beach.

Not only are the beaches themselves Instagram-worthy, but you’ll be able to get plenty of great pictures of Land’s End and the Arch on the way out there too.

Water Lovers Who Want To Splash In The Waves

As mentioned above, not all beaches in Los Cabos are swimmable, and you don’t want to risk swimming in one that isn’t.

Medano Beach is the longest, most popular swimmable beach and has a lot more to offer than just swimming.

Other great swimmable beaches include Chileno Beach, Santa Maria Beach, Lover’s Beach, and Palmilla Beach.

All are perfect for splashing in the waves and a fun day in the sun in Los Cabos.
