Spanish international soccer star Sergio Ramos celebrated his wedding anniversary to Pilar Rubio with a Cabo getaway. The couple stayed at an unspecified San Jose del Cabo private beachfront resort. Sergio and Pilar had their own beachfront villa with a private pool. Hotel staff presumably under Sergio’s guidance really went all out to make sure that the couple’s third wedding anniversary was a memorable one.
Special Messages In The Sand & A Private Fireworks Show
For the couple’s marquee dinner to commemorate their anniversary they only had to walk out a couple of steps from their villa onto the beach. That’s right when the surprises started as a path marked by candles led the couple to a small table that was set up on the beach. They arrived with plenty of sunlight left to be able to take in the messages that hotel staff had written in the sand for them. The message read, “Happy Anniversary Pilar & Sergio”, in Spanish. Although the message was simple enough, the size of the letters and the attention to detail to craft the message really made it a sight to see.
When the sun finally set on the San Jose del Cabo shoreline there was one more surprise for the couple. They were treated to a private fireworks show to serve as the closing ceremony of their anniversary dinner. Although it was meant to be a private show, the size of the fireworks made it so multiple people near that San Jose del Cabo beach could enjoy the fireworks.
In a video that Pilar Rubio shared on her Instagram page the couple can be seen cuddling together as they watch the fireworks. Yet, they didn’t mind sharing the show as Sergio was potentially recognized by people near the beach. The couple can be seen waving back to onlookers with whom they ended up sharing this very special moment.
Continuing Their Anniversary Celebration Up The Coast
After spending the weekend at the aforementioned San Jose del Cabo resort the couple decided to extend their stay in the Pacific coast. They traveled up to the Los Angeles area where they visited an art gallery. It’s been quite the offseason for the couple who may very well be yachting through the Pacific coastline. About a week back Sergio posted a picture of the pair and one of their sons on yet another beach, and he’s also posted workout videos done from the comfort of a yacht. In this current leg of the trip though that included their Cabo stop it would seem that they left the kids back home.
Leaving The Pacific Coast For Japan & Then Back To Paris
Sergio, and Pilar are set to rack up quite a few air miles throughout the summer. Sergio is still slated to continue one more year with Paris outfit Paris Saint Germain alongside other stars like Lionel Messi, and Neymar.
The Spaniard is coming off what is potentially his worst season as a pro having played in only 13 games for the squad throughout the whole year. At 36 he seems keen on showing everyone that his body can still hold up. Even in his Cabo getaway he still found time to use the gym at the resort to be able to get in a workout.
His team is set to head off to Japan for their preseason tour in the month of July. Although he didn’t play a ton of games last year Sergio is still on the main poster promoting the team’s tour which means an Asia trip to end the summer is highly likely. He’ll be back in Paris presumably by the end of July when the team gets ready to play Nantes for their first official match of the 2022-2023 season.
