Los Cabos is one of the top destinations for luxurious travel not only in Latin America, but the world. It comes as no surprise that a world-renowned hotel brand just announced plans to open a new resort.

What better place than gorgeous Los Cabos? One day, all the prime real estate may be taken up but today is not that day.

Hyatt, along with Parks Hospitality Holdings, found a new place nestled along the beach for a luxury resort that Cabo lovers can look forward to splurging on.

Of course, Hyatt is no stranger to Mexico. They also announced a pair of new properties in fellow beach hotspot Cancun, as well as another ritzy hotel in Mexico City.

Those are expected to open next year, while Cabo vacationers will have to wait a while longer. Let’s dive into what we know so far.

Travelers are dead set on visiting Mexico. In fact, it continues to break tourism records with no signs that it will change in 2024.

Hyatt is ahead of the game by opening new luxurious properties in some of the top destinations across Mexico.

Not all Mexican getaways are beach trips, but Los Cabos is among the most sought-after for those craving a vacation across the border.

According to Hyatt, the top 3 trending destinations are Cancun, Mexico City, and Los Cabos. Mexico has plenty to offer in terms of culture, historical sites, beaches, and world-class resorts.

It’s up for debate, but Los Cabos may take the cake for beaches and accommodations. As one of the top luxury destinations in the world, let’s see what Hyatt has in store for their next boujee resort.

“Our intentional growth strategy for our portfolio in Mexico is driven by strong relationships with owners like Parks Hospitality Holdings who are helping expand Hyatt’s brand footprint across markets that matter most to our guests, World of Hyatt members and customers.”

Placed within the OLEADA Pacific Living & Golf private resort community, these accommodations will appeal to a wide variety of guests.

The resort will cater to those seeking the best of the best in terms of a luxurious vacay. Guests will arrive at a massive resort set on 1,200 acres in a convenient, beautiful location.

Just 15 minutes west of Cabo San Lucas and roughly half an hour from the Los Cabos International Airport, guests can start their vacation right away.

The property has a long way to go, but that just leaves more time to perfect the finishing touches on the plush amenities Hyatt wants to offer.

The resort is expected to open high-end restaurants and bars on-site, as well as a variety of outdoor activities.

Slated to open at an undetermined date in 2026, the Grand Hyatt will be far more than your typical beach resort, as guests will be able to go hiking and cycling at this property, spanning more than a mile.

A Golfer’s Paradise

Cabo is at the top of their golf game, and you can be too on the green. There are so many things Cabo does well and that has to be the main reason it’s such a popular vacation getaway.

Whether it’s wellness retreats, new foodie spots, world-renowned resorts, or some of the cleanest beaches in all of Latin America, there’s not much downside to Los Cabos.

Not everybody is into sports and not everybody into sports is into golf. However, this new Hyatt resort is putting so much effort into the golf scene, this may be the place to change your mind.

Golf legend Tiger Woods was recently spotted in Los Cabos as he makes his career comeback. He designed a course in Los Cabos, which now hosts a championship event.

Another pro golfer is following suit and assisting Hyatt with their latest venture. Hall of Fame golfer Ernie Els is designing the property’s 18-hole course described as ‘world-class’.

I wonder how much longer it will be before Cabo's infrastructure breaks down and the environmental damage completely destroys the ecosystem
