Los Cabos is known for being a beach vacation destination, so it’s no surprise that there are several beach clubs where tourists can soak up the sun.
Particularly on Medano Beach because it’s the most popular beach in Los Cabos, but now a new beach club is preparing to open two hours away in the Costa Palmas resort development.
This new French-themed beach club, created by a Michelin chef, will open in Los Cabos this summer.
The Details
It was recently announced that Michelin-star and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award-winning chef Ludo Lefebvre is partnering with Costa Palmas developers to launch a new French-themed beach club within the community.
The club, which will be named Delphine, will not just serve French food, but the atmosphere will be reminiscent of the “South of France” as well, according to Chef Lefebvre.
The food, of course, but also the music, the boats on the water, and the beach, he says, will all contribute to this French ambiance.
The Delphine Day Club
The Delphine Day Club, which is being designed with the help of Fabien Cerato, a day club curator, will be like no other in the region.
It will consist of a lounge area, a bar, and an area for dancing.
It will also feature an al fresco dining pavilion, as well as seating right on the beach.
The Food – The Highlight of Delphine’s
The best part of the new Delphine’s Beach Club will undoubtedly be the food.
Chef Ludo Lefebvre has reportedly already crafted the menu, which is based on Nicoise cuisine.
Nicoise, meaning from the city of Nice in the French Riviera, combines flavors from Italy, Provence, and the Mediterranean.
The Menu
Nicoise is a cuisine based on fresh and local ingredients, in this case, which would be mostly sourced from the Baja region.
Some of the things you might find on Delphine’s menu are grilled Baja shrimp flambeed with pastis, an herb mixture that adds delicious, fresh flavors to the dish, a chopped chicory salad topped with walnut pesto, and the classic herbed butter steak frites.
The best thing is, that the menu will change based on the seasons, so you never know what you’ll see on the menu.
Delphine’s will also feature a premium wine list and a signature cocktail menu.
Delphine’s Opening
While no exact date for opening has been set, Delphine’s is expected to open in the earlier part of the summer this year.
The club will be open all day, between the hours of 11:00 am and 7:00 pm.
Once open, Chef Lefebvre will also start working on opening a brasserie-style restaurant in the Costa Palmas development as well.
Chef Ludo Lefebvre
Chef Ludo Lefebvre, who trained in the Art of French cooking in France for 12 years, is a prominent name within the L.A. food scene.
He has two restaurants in the city, one in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood and one in Hollywood, called Petit Trois.
He also helms a restaurant called Chez Maggy in Denver, Colorado.
The Costa Palmas Resort Development
Costa Palmas is a fairly new 1,500-acre luxury resort development located on the East Cape in Los Cabos.
It has its own marina, golf course, yacht club, and, so far, two resorts, including the Four Seasons Resort & Residences, which is already open, and the Amanvari Resorts & Residences, which will open in 2025.
Now, with the addition of Delphine’s, the development is sure to be a sought-after retreat for those looking to escape the busier part of Los Cabos.
