It’s the hot, humid, and rainy season in Los Cabos. Most people would consider that type of weather less pleasurable for a vacation in a beach resort destination.

However, surprisingly that’s not the case with all of the visitors to Los Cabos.

Enjoying the Show of Beatriz

Los Cabos was spared a direct hit of the first main Pacific hurricane of the year. Beatriz skirted to the west and only impacted the area with some rain, wind, and increased swells at the popular beaches.

That’s fine with many visitors to Los Cabos.

A number of visitors showed up in the rainy weather to the popular tourist zone beach of El Medano to actually enjoy the experience of a tropical weather system.

According to the President of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Colonos El Medano, Ricardo Araoz, Los Cabos tourists have been showing up daily at El Medano to enjoy watching the large waves and light rains from Beatriz.

It has become a tourist attraction of its own for visitors to Los Cabos.

After all, many visitors to Los Cabos from the United States may have never seen, heard or felt the impact of a tropical storm system.

Restaurants Provide a Safe Place to Watch the Storm

While Beatriz did not make a direct impact in Los Cabos, the tropical storm still packs quite a punch that being out on the beach is still hazardous and restricted for visitors.

The restaurants have implemented measures to make their beachside locations a safe place to take in the power of the storm.

The Beatriz watch parties have included drinks, food, and other amenities to help visitors feel right at home during the storm.

If the storm were to pick up in intensity and pose a risk to the viewing tourists, the local authorities already have a plan in place to ask them to leave and allow the beachside restaurants to protect their property.

Rainy Day Activities in Los Cabos

While some travelers enjoy watching the dramatic impact of a tropical storm in Los Cabos, there are plenty of other activities to do when it rains.

Spa services are a fun way to enjoy a rainy day in Los Cabos. A little bit of pampering with a facial or a massage is one method to forget all about the gray weather outside.

There are also fantastic opportunities to learn something new while the weather is bad at the beach.

It can also be a great time to brush up on the Spanish language or even learn it for the first time.

Although tourists may get a little wet shopping outdoors, it is also a very popular activity with tourists at the beach resort destination. Stores may even be more willing to provide a special sale or discount to lucky shoppers due to the rain.

What Tourists Need to Know
