Los Cabos Receives New Vehicles To Protect Tourists On The Road

A rental car can make a vacation easier when visiting the beach resort destination of Los Cabos.

Having the freedom to explore the more rural areas of the region or head off to towns like La Paz, can definitely be more convenient for travelers with their own wheels.

One of the fears travelers have when renting a car in Los Cabos is having to deal with breakdowns on the road.

The good news is there are some angels out there to help tourists with highway breakdowns, and now they have more vehicles to expand their services in Los Cabos.

The Green Angels

When experiencing a breakdown on a rural road, it would be nice to have a guardian angel looking over drivers in distress. In Los Cabos, they are known as the Green Angels.

The Green Angels are a group of drivers that provide free, yes we did say free, roadside assistance to drivers across Los Cabos and the State of Baja California Sur. That amazing service for drivers even includes tourists in the area.

Green Angels Head of Services Jesús David Ortega Castro remarked that they have been providing service to drivers in the region for more than 11 years without any sort of updated mechanical tools or updated vehicles.

New Assistance Vehicles

That was until the recent announcement of eight new vehicles to help them update and expand their efforts in Los Cabos and surrounding areas.

“We receive more than vehicles, we receive tools that allow us to expand our reach and improve the effectiveness of our operations,” added Ortega Castro. “The Green Angels play a vital role in the protection and assistance of travelers, we are committed to prevention, assistance and protection on the road as well as the promotion of tourist culture.”

The eight new assistance vehicles were presented by the State of Baja California Sur and the Ministry of Tourism to help provide additional services for tourists in the region.

According to Ortega Castro, the new vehicles will allow the Green Angels to respond more quickly and effectively to the needs of Baja California Sur drivers and guarantee better roadside assistance for tourists.

More Safety and Security for Travelers

The Green Angels service should provide tourists to Los Cabos and La Paz additional peace of mind when renting a vehicle to explore different places in Baja California Sur during their vacation getaway.

There are many amazing rural areas to see in the region that are a little expensive to visit by rideshare service and a little inconvenient to take a long bus ride to visit. Just getting from Los Cabos to La Paz can be a significant time-consuming challenge by public transportation.

Having a rental car in Los Cabos makes it all the more convenient to explore many of the rural areas at a traveler’s own pace. This is especially the case with many of the very authentic rancho-style towns located between Los Cabos and La Paz.

Now visitors can have the peace of mind that if they do experience a breakdown on major roadways in Baja California Sur there is a free service, in addition to their rental car roadside assistance program, available to provide the needed repair service to assist travelers in their time of need.

So, travelers get out there and explore all of what Baja California Sur has to offer visitors with a rented vehicle to conveniently access even the most rural areas of the region.
