The stunning Rancho Pescadero, which opened this month, is the newest addition to Hyatt’s Unbound Collection of hotels. In 2009, the Todos Santos hotel was opened by its first owner Lisa Harper with only 12 rooms. Since then, it has been one of the most sought-after pieces of hotel real estate in the area. Unfortunately, Lisa was forced to temporarily close the property, and it has been closed to the public for the past four years. Hyatt’s opening of the property has brought life back into the hotel, and the public can enjoy it’s luxury once again.
The 30-acre resort, located in the beachfront town and farming community of Todos Santos, stretches along 1,100 feet of oceanfront and features nine gardens, a citrus orchard, and two farms.
The hotel will focus on wellness and sustainability, driven by the produce and activities on offer in the gardens, farms, and orchards. The hotel also has its own sea turtle hatchery and bird sanctuary, plus multiple cycling and hiking trails to explore.
Guests can choose to stay in one of twelve exclusive beachfront villas, which all have direct access to the beach, their own outdoor showers, patios, plunge pools, and cozy fire pits. On top of this, the hotel will have 91 rooms and suites available. Most rooms will have coast or ocean views, balconies, terraces, or private roof decks.
Onsite, the hotel will also have three restaurants headed up by Culinary Director Sandro Falbo. The Botanica Garden restaurant will serve dishes made with entirely locally-grown produce in its outdoor garden setting.

By the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool, Centro will be more of a communal lounge and dining area, serving traditional Mexican food and drinks. Finally, Kahal restaurant will offer fresh seafood, including a raw fish and caviar bar and freshly caught seafood from nearby Punta Lobos.
All-day options also include a cocktail bar with drinks made from local medicinal herbs and a rooftop breakfast bar with ocean views. The pool will have multiple deep jacuzzis, floating beds, and firepits surrounding it for guests to enjoy drinks in the evening.
To top it off, the resort has its own 25,000 sq/ft spa with a pool, hydrotherapy ‘circuit’ which has an ice fountain, steam room, and Himalayan salt sauna. There will be an onsite apothecary, where guests can make oils from freshly grown herbs that can be used for spa treatments, which also include a native cacao ceremony and bath healings.
For fitness fanatics, reformer Pilates, aerial yoga, a lap pool, indoor and outdoor gym, as well as a Pickleball court are all available for use.
If guests do want to go offsite, the hotel can arrange surf trips, hiking trips, golf, whale watching, scuba diving, snorkeling, and ATV tours. Included in each stay is a swathe of complimentary experiences such as ceviche tastings, meditation, yoga, and gardening workshops.
The Todos Santos resort is almost 100% sustainable, with no single-use plastics and composting used throughout. Only electric golf carts and bicycles are used to get around the property, and there will soon be a solar farm onsite to provide most of the hotel’s power.
To get to the property, visitors can arrive at San Jose del Cabo International Airport, which lies around 1 hour south of the hotel, and airport pickups can be prearranged. Direct flights from here go to cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, and Chicago.
Rancho Pescadero is currently offering visitors an opening discount of 20% off the usual nightly rate, which is $895 per night, plus a 15% discount on spa services and complimentary use of bikes, surfboards, and sports equipment.
The hotel’s opening was first announced earlier this year and is one of a number of the world’s best hotels that are opening in Los Cabos over the coming months as more and more luxury brands develop hotels in the area.
