The Mexican state of Baja California Sur is home to the well-known and super-popular vacation paradise of Los Cabos.
Made up of the two separate but equally enchanting destinations of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos gets a lot of attention.
But there is another charming city just minutes away called Todos Santos.
Here you will find a beautifully renovated hotel that has just landed on Travel & Leisure’s 100 Best New Hotels of the Year list.
Let’s take a look at what makes this hotel near Los Cabos so special and why it made the list.
The Todos Santos Boutique Hotel
The Todos Santos Boutique Hotel is the passion project of a family that discovered the unique existing property during the pandemic.
The family purchased the 19th-century villa that they turned into an incredible 10-room boutique-style hotel.
The hotel opened this January and is currently welcoming guests to come and experience the property in all of its historic glory.
A Historic Property Reimagined
The 19th-century Spanish colonial villa that is now the Todos Santos Boutique Hotel was owned at one time by a Spanish countess.
While extensive renovations have been done to the property, every detail has been meticulously designed to pay tribute to the era in which the original building was built.
Hand-painted murals, period furniture, coffered ceilings, stone staircases, beautiful wood wainscoting, gold-framed art on the walls, and even the aged brick exterior are all elements that bring you back to the era in which this lovely villa was born.
Historic Building Accommodations At The Todos Santos Boutique Hotel
Accommodations at the Todos Santos Boutique Hotel consist of rooms located in the historic building that was constructed in 1890 and rooms within a newly built casita.
The historic building features six well-appointed rooms that are situated along a corridor.
The rooms, which include the Ignacio, Borja, Loreto, and the Francisco range in price from $995 to $1,120 a night, and the larger master suites, the Rosa and Pilar, which include full bathrooms, start at $1,295.
Casita Accommodations At The Todos Santos Boutique Hotel
In the casita, the upper level features the Maria and Luis rooms, both of which have their own private balconies.
The Maria, which includes a king-size bed, is $1,145 a night, and the Luis, features two queen-size beds and is $1,270 a night.
On the lower level each of the two rooms, the Santiago and the Jose, are a little bit different, with the Santiago featuring its own garden and plunge pool.
These rooms start at $1,145 a night.
Todos Santos Boutique Hotel Property
The Todos Santos Boutique Hotel isn’t huge, but the property is designed to inspire a relaxed and enchanting vacation.
You’ll be surrounded by secluded and intimate spaces that offer privacy and a peaceful atmosphere.
You’ll be able to enjoy a pool surrounded by palms and foliage, a rooftop terrace, and a poolside bar while staying at this one-of-a-kind hotel.
Dining At The Todos Santos Boutique Hotel
There are two restaurants that pay tribute to local flavors, farm-fresh ingredients, and seafood fused with British elements.
La Copa exudes understated elegance and is known for its classic cocktails.
Then there’s 1890, which offers a fine dining experience with European flair.
Additionally, the hotel features an impressive wine cellar.
