Direct flights to Los Cabos are available from 28 airports in the United States.
A total of eight airlines operate these flights.
Of these airlines, Southwest offers more routes to Los Cabos than any other U.S. airline, with nonstop flights available from 12 different U.S. cities.
Now Southwest will offer even more flights, as it prepares to increase flights to Los Cabos from Kansas City International Airport this summer.

Increased Flight Frequencies From Kansas City (MCI)
Southwest currently only offers nonstop flights from Kansas City International Airport to Los Cabos International Airport on Saturdays.
The company is preparing to increase the availability considerably, with plans to start offering the route four times a week.
The new seasonal flights will be offered on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
Google Flights shows that the first date the new flights will be available is Thursday, June 6th.
Other Routes To Los Cabos Available From Southwest
As mentioned above, Kansas City is not the only U.S. city that Southwest flies to Los Cabos from.
Nonstop flights are available from the popular airline from 11 other cities in the United States, on a seasonal or year-round basis.
Those cities, and when flights are available, are:
- Austin (AUS) – Seasonal
- Baltimore-Washington (BWI) – Seasonal
- Chicago (MDW) – Seasonal
- Denver (DEN) – Year-Round
- Houston (HOU) – Year-Round
- Oakland, East Bay (OAK) – Seasonal
- Phoenix (PHX) – Year-Round
- Sacramento (SMF) – Seasonal
- San Diego (SAN) – Seasonal
- Santa Ana – (SNA) – Year-Round

More Airlines That Fly To Los Cabos
There are seven other airlines that provide service to Los Cabos.
The bulk of these flights are provided by well-known major airlines, including Alaska, American Airlines, Delta, and United Airlines.
The other airlines with direct flights to the destination are Frontier, JetBlue, and Sun Country Airlines.

Americans can fly to Los Cabos from a total of 28 airports located throughout the United States.
This means there are nonstop flights from another 16 U.S. airports.

The increased connectivity between the U.S. and Los Cabos is directly related to the growing popularity of the destination, which includes both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.
In 2022, Los Cabos broke an all-time record by hosting a total of more than 7 million tourists.
Then last year, Los Cabos Airport served nearly 5 million international passengers alone, nearly exceeding the prior year’s total passengers just in international travelers.
Summer Vs. Winter – When Are The Most Los Cabos Flights Available
Winter is one of the high seasons in Los Cabos, and as such, there are typically more routes available.
That being said, summer is the slow season, so availability in general may be higher.
Furthermore, summer flights will often be more affordable than winter flights too.
