Millions of tourists visit Los Cabo every year, and that number has been increasing each year for the last few.
Particularly popular among tourists from other countries, especially the U.S. and Canada, Los Cabos welcomed more than 4 million international tourists in 2023.
Expecting an even better year in 2024, as much as a nearly 10 percent increase, there are five ways that Los Cabos is preparing to welcome more tourists than ever before.
Opening New Hotels
If there was ever a question as to whether Los Cabos could keep up with the demand of tourists, rest assured there are plenty of hotels and resorts.
More are being built every year, with at least five more on the way this year alone.
An Amanvari hotel, a Soho House & Beach Club, Four Seasons Resorts and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo del Sol, Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol, and St. Regis Los Cabos are all preparing to open this year.

Working On New Air Connections
Another way Los Cabos is preparing for more visitors than ever is by trying to secure new air routes to the destination.
Currently, direct flights are offered from 28 U.S. cities to Los Cabos International Airport.
Tourism officials are hoping to increase that number in 2024.

Offering New Experiences
The beaches and luxury all-inclusives are what have been drawing millions of visitors to Los Cabos in recent years.
They still play a huge role, but the destination is becoming popular for the many other experiences to be had, too.
Specifically, the diverse nature of the region has been attracting more and more outdoor lovers.

Highlighting The Culinary Scene
Dining in Los Cabos is an experience of its own and is quickly becoming a reason itself to visit Los Cabos.
There are fantastic restaurants not just in the luxury hotels but throughout both San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas as well.
The culinary scene in the region has grown so much that it has even gained the attention of the prestigious Michelin Guide and is going to be featured in this year’s issue.

Improving Safety
Safety is always at the forefront of preparations for more tourists in Los Cabos, and that is not likely to change anytime soon.
Despite being rated one of the safest vacation destinations in all of Mexico, officials continue to launch new safety operations all the time.
Whether it’s installing new cameras, implementing new technology, or increasing police and military patrols, security is always something that Los Cabos officials are addressing.

Where To Stay In Los Cabos
Los Cabos is typically spoken of as “a destination,” but in reality, it is two, even three, if you consider the Tourist Corridor as its own, destinations in one.
There’s San Jose del Cabo, which is the charming town to the north of the more vibrant Cabo San Lucas.
The Tourist Corridor is along the road that runs between the two cities and also has luxury all-inclusives and amazing beaches.
Where you stay depends on how much peace and quiet, or how much excitement you want on your vacation.

Best Time For A Los Cabos Vacation
Los Cabos, with around 350 days of sunshine annually and a tropical desert climate, has pretty amazing weather throughout most of the year.
Average temperatures range from about 80 in January to 94 degrees in July and August, so if weather is the main factor, anytime is a good time to visit Los Cabos.
If it’s crowded, then late spring and fall are great times to visit, as winter draws crowds trying to escape cold weather, and spring brings the spring break crowd.
The summer months are a mix of both national and international tourists.
Aside from considering those two things, there really is no bad time to visit Los Cabos.
