Los Cabos has become a hotspot for celebrity sightings over the years and earlier this week was no exception when Britney Spears was seen on vacation in Cabo San Lucas. Britney appeared to be on vacation with her fiance Sam Asghari.
Spears is enjoying a getaway to Cabo San Lucas this week, where she’s kept busy with activities, including jet skiing. On Wednesday, she was pictured aboard a jet ski, with her fiance Sam Asghari nearby on another jet ski as well.
Britney was riding on the jet ski while wearing a white shirt and covering her face with a mask also. From its looks, they weren’t alone on this trip as several close friends of the couple joined them on this vacation.
It appears the couple is taking a vacation while Britney is pregnant with the couple’s first child. She announced the pregnancy last week to the public. Britney, 40 years old, and her fiance Sam, who is 28, are expecting their first child together.
However, Britney does have two sons already, Sean Federline, 16, and Jayden Federline, 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Britney seems to be in good spirits around her group during this outing. After cruising around the water, Britney and others could be seen strolling along the beach.
Spears and the recent controversy
Britney is no stranger to the spotlight. Having broken out as a pop singer as a teenager, she rose to fame with her first album “Baby one more time” in 1999 and “Oops I did it again” in 2000. Those two albums became two of the biggest selling albums of all time. Britney has an estimated net worth of $70 million, which is tough to gauge because of the conservatorship.
The last year Britney has been back in the spotlight as she and advocates brought light to her conservatorship.
For over ten years, Britney lived under a legal conservatorship, which her father, Jamie Spears, largely ran. It was set up because Britney was facing a mental health crisis. In September 2021, a judge ruled the conservatorship be suspended from her father, Jamie.
More controversy has followed Britney as recently as last week. Britney concerned fans with racy social media posts and then a puzzling announcement that she was pregnant with her third child.
Britney’s history with Los Cabos
This week definitely wasn’t the first trip for Spears to Cabo San Lucas and the surrounding area. In December, Britney rang in her 40th birthday with a trip to Cabo San Lucas set up by her new fiance, Sam Asghari.
Before these past two trips, Britney has made Cabo San Lucas one of her favorite vacation destinations.
Cabo is a favorite destination for celebrities
Britney Spears has continued a trend of the last decade, where celebrities head to Los Cabos for vacation. There have been sightings of familiar faces around the area even in recent weeks. Just last week, Jeremy Renner visited San Jose del Cabo to give back and help out a local charity redesign multi-use vehicles.
Leonardo Dicaprio vacationed with his girlfriend in Cabo San Lucas. Meanwhile, in early April, Jessica Simpson was spotted with her family in Cabo as well.
Los Cabos officials have always welcomed celebrities to the location. The tourism officials recognize the amount of attention that high-profile celebrities can draw to the area, hopefully attracting other visitors from around the world. Taking advantage of this free marketing is essential to the site maintaining its reputation as a tourism hotspot.
