If anybody were to ever doubt the popularity of Los Cabos, all they would have to do is look at the growth in tourism numbers over the last few years.

In 2022 the number of visitors grew by more than 20 percent compared to 2021, and in 2023, although official numbers are not out yet, it’s likely that the number will surpass 2022, with more than 4 million visitors projected.

More Luxury Hotels

One thing that Los Cabos has a lot of are luxury hotels, which is one of the biggest reasons for the destination’s popularity.

Millions of travelers flock to the many four and five-star hotels each year, and as tourist numbers rise, so does the number of luxury hotels.

This year, even more luxury hotels will open in the destination, including a Grand Velas Boutique hotel, the Park Hyatt at Cabo del Sol, the Soho House, Amanvari, and the St. Regis Los Cabos.

What You Can Expect To Pay For Your Los Cabos Hotel

When any vacation destination gains popularity demand increases and so do hotel rates.

The most recent average hotel rate in Los Cabos was around $500 a night in October, so being that it’s high season, it’s likely even a little more now.

That being said, you can certainly find some great hotels and all-inclusives for much lower than this price point.

Best Time To Visit Los Cabos

Los Cabos has a tropical desert climate so the weather is pretty great year round, and average temperatures throughout the year are between 80 – 95 degrees.

For that reason, there’s no bad time to visit Los Cabos.  Winters and spring break are especially busy and hotel rates are higher, but it’s the perfect time to escape the cold.

Summer is a little more affordable but a bit hotter as well.

Really when you visit Los Cabos depends on the experience that you’re looking for, but either way, you’re sure to have an amazing vacation.
