There are multiple vacation destinations in Mexico that have become hugely popular among international tourists.   

But it goes without saying that some destinations are more popular than others.   

But although Los Cabos, or any of the other destinations, don’t get quite as many visitors as the tourist hotspot of Cancun, it has surpassed other popular destinations.

Two of the places that Los Cabos has surpassed in popularity are Merida, located on the Yucatan Peninsula, and Acapulco, which is located on the Pacific coast, nearly 400 miles south of Mexico City.    

Both have long been favorite Mexican vacation destinations but are being surpassed by Los Cabos, which has been growing in popularity exponentially.

Perhaps the biggest reason for Los Cabos becoming more popular than other destinations is the level of pure luxury when it comes to hotels and resorts in the region.   

Some of the best all-inclusives in the country are in Los Cabos, according to Forbes, and in fact, three made that list.   

They include Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas, and Grand Velas Los Cabos, which has made it on multiple prestigious lists.
