A recent report from the FITURCA (The Los Cabos Tourism Trust) has revealed that over 40% of all travelers who visit Los Cabos return the following year.
This hugely impressive number is an important sign to the destinations resorts and tourism industry of whether or not travelers are satisfied, but it’s equally positive for travelers considering their first Los Cabos vacation.
In the age of online reviews, it’s harder than ever for underperforming destinations to draw in visitors, and for potential visitors to Los Cabos, the enduring popularity of this corner of Mexico with previous travelers is a huge gold star.
However, what’s more important than numbers on paper is why travelers keep coming back year after year for their hard-earned vacation.
All Budgets Welcome
Los Cabos is famous worldwide for being a super-luxurious destination, and some of the most impressive resorts and vacation residences can be found here.
Big brands such as Four Seasons, Grand Velas, and Waldorf Astoria can be found here. As well as smaller and more bespoke brands that focus on the individual travelers’ needs.
With that being said, Los Cabos isn’t just a destination for those willing to pay +$1000 per night for their vacation.
Throughout both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, there is a wide range of low to mid-budget resorts, including those offering all-inclusive packages at super-reasonable price points.
Additionally, Los Cabos is home to a wide range of cost-friendly boutique hotels, and for the dollar-conscious spring break students, there are even a few more smart choices that keep the accommodation budget small and the drinks budget healthy.
Convenience
The vast majority of travelers who visit Los Cabos each year are American, which shouldn’t come as too big of a shock considering how close the destination is to the continental U.S.
But more than just location, the biggest positive is the fantastic number of direct flights with the U.S., which allow travelers from all corners of America to reach this beautiful destination in just a few hours.
Year-Round Climate
While most travelers choose to visit Los Cabos during the winter season, for many others that isn’t possible due to work or family commitments, thankfully, those intent on a Los Cabos vacation aren’t held back by the seasons.
The destination records, on average, 300 days of sunshine per year, with temperatures rarely moving out of the 75-to-95-degree Fahrenheit range.
With that being said, Los Cabos does have to contend with hurricane season, although this rarely lasts longer than a few days, and thanks to strict building codes, the destination rarely receives more damage than a few scarred trees and toppled road signs.
A Vibe For All Travelers
Something that shouldn’t be downplayed about Los Cabos is its awesome ability to cater to all kinds of travelers.
Each year, an army of spring break revelers land in the destination, enjoying the electric nightlife and fun-filled beach parties. During this time of year, the beaches of Los Cabos are nearly indistinguishable from Los Angeles or Miami.
During the winter period, the destination becomes a hotbed of couples and groups who seek to swap the cold fronts arriving in the U.S. for the comfortable winter temperatures in Los Cabos. Enjoying all the luxuries on offer, like world-beating day spas and restaurants that could make a New Yorker envious.
Furthermore, families aren’t pushed to the side. Parents with young kids or teenagers are just as in need of the reset of energy that a Los Cabos vacation provides. Throughout the destination, there are resorts that focus on families, taking as much of the stress away from the experience as possible.
