New Four Seasons Los Cabos Luxury Resort To Begin Welcoming Tourists

A brand-new luxury resort is set to debut in Los Cabos, welcoming guests to a modern hotel that truly honors its traditional Mexican roots.

Welcome to Four Seasons Resort Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol.

Traditional Yet Refined

Open for reservations and formally welcoming guests on May 1, the brand new Four Seasons Resort Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol has embraced the Los Cabos Tourism Trust focus on delivering upscale touches for luxury travelers in Los Cabos.

“Cabo San Lucas has long been on our list, and we are thrilled to be opening a brand new Four Seasons experience that beautifully complements our existing resort on the more remote East Cape of Los Cabos,” said Antoine Chahwan, President, Hotel Operations – Americas in a company news release.

Inspired by the Pueblos Mágicos of Baja California Sur, the total of nearly 100 guest rooms, casitas, suites, and villas blend together a natural design that incorporates the colors, handicrafts, and architecture of the local area.

The accommodations at the resort range from 847 square feet to 6,374 square feet, with scenic views of the Sea of Cortez and retractable glass doors that allow guests to enjoy the sea air and bring the outdoors inside.

Plenty of Amenities

The new Four Seasons Resort Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol hosts three pools, three restaurants, and five bar options for Los Cabos tourists.

It also has its own beach and water sports equipment, which will be available for visitors to use for their own ocean adventure.

The Four Seasons resort also has an interesting, unique amenity for travelers, an El Taller Artisan Art Studio. Information on this amenity was not available in the news release, but it sounds like an opportunity for guests to enjoy their creative side.

The amenities will also include retail shopping areas, a Papalote Kids For All Seasons kids club, and access to the nearby Cabo Del Sol golf course.

Luxury Prices

The room rates for casitas around the May 1 opening date look like they are more than $1,000 per night, all in using a special 20% discount offer online.

However, they are more than 1,100 square feet in size.

This seems a little high, especially since this is not an all-inclusive property. However, it does include a $300 resort credit if that makes travelers feel a little better.

Reservations must be canceled at least 30 days before arrival, and the room rate does not include a mandatory 15 percent gratuity.

It definitely will appear to a higher-end luxury traveler.

What Travelers Need to Know

The well-known Four Seasons brand conveys luxury and upscale elegance to travelers around the world. This resort will not disappoint this important market segment of Los Cabos.

This demonstrates the true evolution of the Los Cabos tourism market towards more luxury and upscale travelers with more disposable income to spend on features such as resort accommodations and amenities.

That was the position the Los Cabos Tourism Trust took over the last couple of years to generate more income for the community rather than pursue low room rates and high occupancy levels such as the past Spring Break holiday travel periods.

Budget-oriented travelers to Los Cabos are going to find most of the new resorts in the area will be priced towards this market and outside their budgets. They may want to book the older resorts in town way in advance to get a good deal.

An alternative will be to look towards cheaper towns such as La Paz.

Los Cabos truly is becoming a luxury travel destination for well-heeled luxury visitors with the money to spend on a vacation getaway.
