There are some pretty amazing beaches in Los Cabos but what some travelers might not realize is that many of the beautiful beaches in Cabo are not swimmable. They make for stunning scenery and a lovely day of sunbathing, but the water along the coast of many of the beaches has strong undercurrents, large waves, and steep drop-offs. There are some beaches with calmer waters, though, some of which sit next to luxury resorts.
We’ll share the top six Los Cabos resorts with the most swimmable beaches so that you know exactly where to book if this is something that is important to you.
Villa Del Arco Beach Resort & Spa
Villa Del Arco is a family-friendly luxurious all-inclusive resort that sits right next to Médano Beach, arguably the best swimmable beach in Cabo San Lucas. The luxury resort features spacious suites with a balcony or terrace, multiple pools, gourmet dining that includes five different restaurants, 24-hour room service, and daily activities and theme nights. The price for a deluxe studio on a weekday starts at $575 a night and can go up to over $1,000 on weekends.
Breathless Cabo San Lucas Resort & Spa
Also situated on Medano Beach and overlooking the Cabo San Lucas Marina, Breathless Resort & Spa is an adult-only all-inclusive paradise with a lot to offer. There are 12 different gourmet restaurants and bars onsite, a rooftop lounge, two infinity pools, and more than 160 modern suites, all with a terrace or balcony with a view of the marina. Prices range from just under $700 on weekdays to over $2,000 on some weekend nights.
Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort & Spa
Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort & Spa’s claim to fame is not just being located on Medano beach, but on one of the most beautiful stretches of the beach. The all-inclusive resort features a Greco-Roman theme and has three restaurants and one bar onsite, but guests also have access to two more restaurants and bars next door, plus the establishments and facilities at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, with complimentary shuttle transportation. The price per night is surprisingly affordable compared to many of the luxury all-inclusives, ranging in price from $449 – $898, even on weekends.
Paradisus Los Cabos All-Inclusive
Paradisus Los Cabos is an all-inclusive family-friendly resort located along the road between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, with 250 rooms and suites, including swim-up suites with access to three pools. The resort has seven restaurants and seven bars, and rooms have fully stocked mini bars, so you’ll never be wanting for anything at Paradisus. Rates seem to typically range between around $620 a night to $760 a night, and that includes weekends, some of which are priced as low as $620.
Marquis Los Cabos Resort & Spa
Marquis Los Cabos is an adult-only all-inclusive resort located between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas on a quiet secluded swimmable beach overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The all-suite resort features five unique restaurants and 24-hour in-suite dining, three beachfront pools, and a 1,300-square-foot state-of-the-art spa. All of this luxury comes at a pretty good price, too, with prices ranging from as low as $591 to $762, including weekend days.
Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort
Also located along the highway between the two cities but closer to Cabo San Lucas, the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort is a family-friendly resort with so much to do that there is little reason to leave the property. There are activities and movie nights for the kids, golf for the adults, a luxurious wine spa, 10 gourmet restaurants, and multiple bars. Prices for some dates at this resort can be found for as low as $500 on a weeknight and as low as $650 on some weekend nights.
There is no shortage of all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos, but there is a shortage of swimmable beaches. Fortunately, some resorts, like those mentioned, have their own swimmable beaches for guests to enjoy.
