Looking for the ultimate in luxury? A new Los Cabos all-inclusive resort recently received the highest recognition for luxury resorts around the world: the prestigious Automobile Association of America, also known as AAA, five-diamond award.
According to AAA standards, to qualify for the prestigious five-diamond award, a resort or hotel property must represent “ultimate luxury, sophistication, and comfort with extraordinary physical attributes, meticulous personalized service, extensive amenities and impeccable standard of excellence.”
Less than one percent of the more than 25,000 hotel properties have applied for a AAA rating and received a five-diamond honor.
The latest number of five diamond level properties in North America, the Caribbean and Costa Rica is only 140.
There are two in Cabo San Lucas, three in Las Ribera and now four in San Jose del Cabo.
Ultimate Los Cabos Luxury
Throughout the year, AAA Inspectors visit resorts and hotels across Mexico to verify the four Cs of AAA Diamonds: Cleanliness, Comfort, Cuisine, and Consistency.
Earlier it was announced that there is a new five diamond award winning resort in Los Cabos – Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos.
According to AAA, the “adults-only, all-inclusive resort boasts stunning views of the Sea of Cortez, 79 opulent suites, a private beach, and an infinity pool. AAA Five Diamond hotels offer breathtaking surroundings, luxurious amenities, and impeccable service for a one-of-a-kind, top-of-the-line experience.”
The prestigious five diamond award is the highest honor given to the top luxury hotels in the world.
The Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos was the only resort hotel property bestowed with the distinguished honor in the month of June.
New Standard for Luxury
The awarding of the five-diamond award to the Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos is pretty amazing in that the property is less than one year old, having opened in January 2024.
It is Velas Resorts’ third property in Los Cabos.
Facilities and services available at the Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos include 79 luxurious suites, each 800-square-feet or larger, a two-star Michelin consulting chef with creative dining experiences, wine selection inspired by the proximity to Mexico’s fine wine region, and innovative spa treatments inspired by Mexican culture, among others.
Guests at the new boutique resort also have access to the five fine dining restaurants at the sister Grand Velas Resort in Los Cabos at no extra charge.
