In this regard, it is worth mentioning that Southwest has recently announced new routes to this popular destination. These will connect the cities of Austin, Phoenix, Sacrament, and Kansas City to this Mexican municipality.

Unfortunately, however, tourists will have to wait a few extra months to make the most out of these new deals as the new routes will start operating in the fall.

Everything you need to know when booking a Los Cabos flight

Flights to Los Cabos can be quite expensive. Luckily, there are a few tricks you can use to save some bucks.

First of all, you should try to avoid booking on weekend days such as Friday and Sunday. These tend to be more expensive as most people fly on these days to make the most out of the weekend.

If you work as an entrepreneur and don’t have a preference in terms of days, opt for Tuesdays or Thursdays, when flights tend to cost less.

Another great tip is to book during the low season, lasting from July to September. Despite what most people believe, Los Cabos offers plenty of activities for tourists all year round.

Plus, booking during the low season also means dealing with fewer tourists on your trip and finding cheaper accommodation options.

You should also keep in mind that some companies offer massive discounts if you decide to book both your flights and accommodation with them. Lastly, opting for a return ticket rather than a one-way one can help you save extra money.

From where to fly

Plenty of different U.S. cities now offer direct flights to Los Cabos. Among these are Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas, St. Louis and Chicago in Illinois, Santa Ana, Los Angeles, and San Diego in California, as well as other major US metropolises, such as New York City, Minneapolis, Detroit, Atlanta, and Kansas City, just to mention a few.

Despite this, it’s important to keep in mind that not all these airports offer direct flights to Los Cabos all year round.

Some airlines, in fact, only sell direct routes during the busiest times of the year, for instance, during high season, between December and February, or during holiday periods, such as spring break, which this year is going to take place throughout the month of March.
