The Super Bowl champions always declare that they are heading to Disneyland, according to the traditional commercial at the end of the game.
They also head to the White House for the official congratulations from the President of the United States.
But where does the team that did not win go? For the San Francisco 49ers, it was a fun trip to Los Cabos.
Viva Los Cabos
It was Viva Las Vegas to Viva Los Cabos for the team that did not win the Super Bowl this year, the San Francisco 49ers.
Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Kyle Juszczyk from the San Francisco 49ers hit the shores of Los Cabos, along with their significant others, hit the shores of Los Cabos to recover from their super loss with some super fun.
National Football League Hall of Famer Peyton Manning was also spotted with the team soaking up the sun, sand, and surf in Baja California.
They were spotted on the local beaches, enjoying their relaxation time in local bars.
Promoting Los Cabos
Part of the vacation getaway for several of the San Francisco 49ers players may be directly related to a marketing deal the team has with the Los Cabos Tourism Trust to promote the beach resort destination.
Prior to the Super Bowl, the 49ers and the Los Cabos Tourist Trust inked a marketing deal to promote Los Cabos as a tourist destination, bring more youth football and wellness programs to Los Cabos, and strengthen the team’s relationship with Mexican fans.
According to a TikTok video posted by model Olivia Culpo, girlfriend of Christian McCaffrey, the entire trip to Los Cabos was a big wellness retreat for the team after losing Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The vacation getaway was exactly what the team needed to recover as reports were saying that the players definitely seemed to be enjoying their time on the shores of Los Cabos.
A Wellness Escape
Los Cabos is quickly establishing itself as a wellness retreat location, where travelers can escape to enjoy the sun, sand and surf of Baja California.
This is one of the three prime tourism segments identified by the Los Cabos Tourism Trust as a priority for travelers this year. The other two being nature and sustainability.
While the San Francisco 49ers are probably not happy losing the Super Bowl this year, it probably plays well to have them visit Los Cabos to enjoy a wellness vacation to recuperate from the loss of the game.
At least from a Los Cabos Tourism Trust marketing standpoint.
What Travelers Need to Know
While most travelers have not experienced the loss of the National Football League championship, Los Cabos is still a great place to go for a wellness vacation getaway.
Not only is the sun, sand, and surf a great place to relax and recuperate, but there are a number of other great amenities available to recharge the body and mind for the start of a brand new year.
Los Cabos has stepped up not only the number of wellness centers available for travelers to the beach resort destination but is also home to many deluxe upscale spa facilities for relaxation treatments and massages.
It’s also been a place where celebrities go to escape and relax with their toes in the sand and a drink in their hand.
As Los Cabos continues to evolve into more of a luxury travel destination, these complementary services will continue to increase for the well-to-do visitor looking to escape on a wellness vacation getaway.
Even for football teams losing the big game.
