Swimsuit model Haley Kalil was spotted this week in Los Cabos just weeks after filing for divorce from former NFL star hubby Matt Kalil. Her post-split celebration included solo time on the beach and outings with star-studded friends. She documented her vacation well, posting a number of photos, videos, and stores on Instagram in cheeky bikinis and form fitting dresses.
Her Los Cabos vacation featured endless days on the beach soaking up the sun and enjoying life. On one occasion, Haley and gal pals stopped at McDonald’s, ordering a massive tray of burgers and posting it to her Insta story with the caption “hell yes.” She followed with a pose in a black cutout jumpsuit diving in for a bite of a sandwich with the caption, “Oh hey,” tagging Popeyes.
One of her posts blew up on the gram, featuring a video of her in black bikini bottoms with a knit front-tie long sleeve. The video starts with a freeze frame of Haley in front of the beach with the quote “she photoshops all of her pictures.” She playfully strokes the sand and giggles at the camera, leaving the caption “haters gonna hate” with the smiling devil emoji.
Another photo from her celebratory beach vacay was taken in a black one-piece swimsuit with the caption “she’s a beach bum for life.” She poses with a white top hanging off of her shoulders, pulling up salty beach hair and looking straight at the camera. She took some time to feature promo videos for Pixie beauty, showing off her new glowing, sun kissed skin from her beachfront balcony in her lux stay.
Haley stayed at the one of Los Cabos’ newest resorts, Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa. The spot is known for lux accommodation, with beachfront patios, exquisite dining, and home to the highest standing rooftop bar in the area. It’s located at the very tip of the peninsula, featuring views that extend out across Medano Beach. Her Los Cabos vacation marks her second beach getaway this year, as she hit the beaches of Bora Bora in early April. Though she seemed to enjoy her vacay then, her Los Cabos vacation marks her fist after filing for divorce officially, making it a more celebratory event.
The pair split back in January after 7 years of marriage. At the time of their marriage, Haley was in her early 20s. They met in 2012 shortly after Matt Kalil’s successful NFL Draft result, where he was picked up by the Vikings. Matt was number 4 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, entering the league with a promising future.
Haley was crowned Miss Minnesota Teen USA in 2010 at the age of 16, later graduating from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology and Psychology. Her big break as a swimsuit model came where she was featured in a swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated in 2018. Since then, she’s been featured in a number of magazines and ads and working on her Instagram influence with more than 430,000 followers. Apart from her influence in swimsuits, she founded Nerd Heard which aims to educated and empower young girls and women pursuing careers in STEM.
The reason for the split has not yet been confirmed, though Haley filed citing “irreconcilable differences.” After filing, she posted a story to her account with the message, “You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life.” Her soon-to-be ex -husband has stayed quiet throughout their split and neither have commented about specifics for the time being.
