When you visit Los Cabos and stay in one of the sprawling luxury all-inclusive resorts, you’ll have everything you need on site.
You’ll really have no reason to leave the property, but one Los Cabos attraction might get you to ditch the resort for a while.
That attraction is the marina in Cabo San Lucas.
The marina has received the prestigious “5 Golden Anchor” award for the last eight years, and there are five reasons this popular Los Cabos highlight has tourists leaving their hotels for the day.
Fantastic Selection Of Restaurants And Bars
One of the reasons Cabo San Lucas’s marina area is so popular is the astonishing number of fantastic restaurants and bars that surround it.
There are as many as 50, ranging from laid-back casual to high-end fine dining, and there are, not surprisingly, several seafood restaurants.
Some of the most highly-rated restaurants in the area include:
- Roasted Grill & Bar
- Outpost
- Captain Tony’s
- La Chatita
- Solomon’s Landing
Tours Galore
The marina in Cabo San Lucas is also where you should go if you want to book tours or excursions during your Los Cabos vacation.
Numerous boat tour operators launch from the marina, and tours can be purchased right at the marina if you haven’t already booked them online.
Additionally, there are tour companies that offer land tours as well.
Exciting Water Activities
The Cabo San Lucas Marina area is also a great place to rent small watercraft for water activities, particularly on Medano Beach, which begins on the east side of the marina.
Here you’ll find vendors renting every type of small watercraft that you can think of.
Kayaks, paddleboards, jet skis, and more are pretty much always available.
All Kinds Of Shopping
If you have your heart set on doing some shopping during your Cabo vacation, the marina area in Cabo San Lucas has plenty of options.
Whether you’re looking for popular high-end brands or souvenirs, there’s no shortage of stores.
In addition to standalone gift shops and convenience stores, you’ll also find several shopping malls in the area, including Luxury Avenue and even a flea market.
Amazing Scenery
A list of reasons why the Cabo San Lucas Marina is so popular wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the amazing scenery you get to enjoy while walking around the marina.
Not only is the marina itself filled with beautiful boats and yachts, but you also have views of the Bay of Cabo San Lucas.
Best of all, though, is that the area’s most popular attraction, the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas, sits right across from the bay, along with Land’s End, which is where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet.
Staying Near The Marina
The best way to have access to the marina is to stay near the marina.
There are plenty of hotels and resorts of all levels in the area.
Some of the highly-rated properties you’ll find here include:
- Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Blanco Beach Resort
- Hotel Tesoro Los Cabos
- Hacienda Beach Club & Residences
- ME Cabo by Melia
- Medano Hotel and Spa
Getting To The Marina
If you don’t stay in a hotel or resort near the marina you can still get there easily enough.
If you stay along the Tourist Corridor, which is lined with luxury properties, or in San Jose del Cabo, which is the quieter part of Los Cabos, you have several options for getting to the marina in Cabo San Lucas to spend the day.
Taxis, Uber, the public bus, and private transportation are all available for getting around and to the Cabo San Lucas marina during your Los Cabos vacation.
