America’s Best Airline Begins Nonstop Flights To Los Cabos

Good news, Cabo fans — you can now skip the big terminals, breeze through check-in, and touch down just minutes from the marina.

We at The Cabo Sun can confirm that JSX, recently named America’s No. 1 domestic airline by Travel + Leisure readers, has launched their season of nonstop flights to Cabo San Lucas from both Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Los Angeles (LAX).

What’s new (and why it matters)

JSX began service on August 4, 2025, flying into Cabo San Lucas International’s private terminal (the smaller airport in town) with Embraer ERJ-145 jets. Initial schedules are four times weekly from both cities and ramp up to daily as we get closer to peak season in November.

That means more flexibility for your weekenders and Wednesday-to-Sunday getaways.

Unlike typical commercial carriers, JSX operates a “hop-on” semi-private model: arrive around 20 minutes before departure, check in at a private hangar, and board a 30-seat jet with 1×1 seating (every seat is both aisle and window). It’s the fast lane to vacation mode.

“America’s Best Airline”? Here’s the receipt.

In Travel + Leisure’s 2025 World’s Best Awards, JSX took the #1 spot among U.S. domestic airlines with a 92.29 reader score — a runaway win ahead of larger, legacy competitors.

Travelers specifically praised the private-terminal experience and stress-free boarding — a big reason this new Cabo route is such a win.

Which Cabo airport are we talking about?

Los Cabos has two airports:

  • SJD = Los Cabos International (San José del Cabo) – the big one most airlines use. It’s roughly 43–47 km (35–45 minutes) to downtown Cabo San Lucas, depending on traffic.
  • Cabo San Lucas International — the smaller in-town airport that JSX uses. You’ll see it listed as CSW on JSX and aviation sites (also shown as CSL in some directories). Either way, it’s the same airport (ICAO: MMSL) and it’s about 15–20 minutes to the marina/downtown. Translation: faster toes-in-sand.

Tip: When booking airport transfers, double-check the code your shuttle company uses (CSW/CSL) and confirm pickup at the Cabo San Lucas terminal — many services default to SJD.

The schedule at a glance

  • DAL ⇄ Cabo San Lucas (CSW): launched Aug 4; 4x weekly, increasing to daily by Nov 8 (subject to airline adjustments).
  • LAX ⇄ Cabo San Lucas (CSW): launched Aug 4; 4x weekly, increasing to daily by Nov 8.

You can see current fares and availability directly on JSX’s site.

What the onboard experience is like

JSX flies 30-seat Embraer jets with 1×1 seating, free drinks and snacks, complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi, and speedy planeside baggage return.

Another standout perk: two checked bags included (yes, even golf bags and skis count toward that). For Cabo travelers heading with beach gear or clubs, that’s real value.

Who benefits most from the new flights?

  • Marina/Medano Beach stays: Landing at the in-town terminal can put you at your resort in ~20 minutes, a big time-saver versus SJD.
  • Long weekends from Dallas & L.A.: With frequencies ramping up through fall, it’s easier to build 3–4-night trips without awkward connections.
  • Golfers & groups: Two included checked bags per person means less nickel-and-diming on luggage.

Practical tips from our team

  • Know your code: If you booked JSX, your arrival airport shows as Cabo San Lucas (CSW/CSL) — not SJD. Share that with your driver to avoid a mix-up.
  • Transfer time math: From SJD to Cabo San Lucas is typically 35–45 minutes; from CSW/CSL it’s roughly 15–20 minutes to the marina. Budget accordingly if you’re meeting friends or catching a tour.
  • Arrive smart: JSX’s mantra is “curb-to-seat in ~20 minutes.” Don’t show up hours early — there’s no need.
  • Pack confidently: Plan for two free checked bags per traveler on JSX; double-check weight limits when you book.

Bottom line

With JSX now flying nonstop from Dallas Love Field and LAX to Cabo San Lucas’s in-town airport, getting to paradise just got quicker, easier, and frankly, more fun.

And with the airline crowned America’s best by T+L readers this year, you’re starting your Cabo vacation with a win the moment you board. See you on the beach.
