As the summer comes to a close in Los Cabos and we make our way into winter, traveler numbers are about to ramp up!

When it comes to winter, more tourists visit the destination than any other time of the year except maybe spring break season.

Even though winter is still months away, there are 3 reasons you need to book your Los Cabos getaway right now.

High Season Is Just Around The Corner

Winter may still seem somewhat far away, but tourism starts to pick up as early as October, which is just around the corner.

Occupancy rates during the summer averaged around 70 percent, and now are slightly lower than that.

Once October hits, that number will begin going back up gradually until around December, when numbers will skyrocket.

You’ll Have More Options If You Book Now

If you get ahead of the game and book your Los Cabos vacation before travelers are booking in mass numbers, you’ll have more options to choose from.

Hotels go quickly as vacationers plan for their winter getaway!

For example, a popular property like Hacienda Del Mar is already almost out of rooms for December 1st through the 8th.

This applies to both flights and hotels, which fill up fast once high season is already underway.

Additionally, you may find better hotel rates and flight prices before demand reaches its highest point as well.

Booking Now Leaves Plenty Of Time For Planning

Any vacation, especially one abroad or in a place you’ve never been to before, takes a lot of planning.

Accommodations, flights, ground transportation, sightseeing, activities, and more all have to be considered when planning your Los Cabos vacation.

If you get all that planning done early, you’ll have less anxiety when your vacation gets closer.

Getting From The Airport To Your Los Cabos Hotel

One of the most important things you can plan ahead for when you’re planning your Los Cabos vacation is how you’re going to get from the airport to your hotel.

The benefit of doing so is not having to worry about finding it when you arrive.

You can already have a taxi, private car, or shuttle waiting when you get there, and in many cases, you can save money by booking ahead too.

Other Things To Plan Ahead For If You’re Visiting Los Cabos During High Season

Getting your vacation booked early also gives you time to plan some of the things you’ll do during your vacation.

You can book tours early, like boat tours and excursions, so that you don’t miss out on the ones that sell out quickly.

You can also book certain activities, like snorkeling, ATVing, and horseback riding, in advance as well.

Why Travelers Love Los Cabos During The Winter Months

Even though Los Cabos is a beach vacation destination, winter is one of the most popular times for travelers to visit, especially travelers who live in areas that get cold.

This is because Los Cabos has year-round mild temperatures and more than 350 days of sunshine every year.

It’s the perfect place to escape the cold, and American and Canadian travelers flock to the destination during the winter.

Why It’s Even Easier To Get To Los Cabos During The Winter

In addition to the weather, another great reason to visit Los Cabos during the wintertime, even though it’s high season, is that it’s easier to get to the destination.

Airlines typically add additional seasonal routes to warm destinations during the winter months, and that includes Los Cabos.

One of those airlines is Alaska Airlines, which, over the summer, announced increased service to Los Cabos from Sacramento this winter.

Travelers from the U.S. can already get to Los Cabos Airport from nearly 30 airports throughout the country, and that number increases during the winter.
