When you think about the perfect summer vacation, the image of a beach destination is very likely the first thing that comes to mind.   

But while summer is no doubt the perfect time to visit a beach vacation destination like Los Cabos, that doesn’t mean that fall is a bad time.   

In fact, Los Cabos is among the best destinations to visit in the fall, according to travel experts.   

Best Vacation Destinations To Visit In October 

Travel experts from Condé Nast Traveller recently came up with a list of the best vacation destinations to visit in October.   

The wide range of destinations on the list, including Los Cabos, were no doubt chosen based on having something special to offer during the fall months.   

Some are great places to see fall foliage, some are fantastic locations to see spring in full bloom, and others, like Los Cabos, are hot destinations that finally start seeing milder temperatures and make for the perfect beach vacation destination.

The List 

Very few beach destinations made it to the list of best destinations to visit in October.   

Many of the destinations on the list are places that are perfect for experiencing fall, winter, and spring.   

Los Cabos made the list because it’s still basically summer in October, without the harsher conditions that are characteristic of July and August, but that’s not the only reason Los Cabos is one of the best places to visit in the fall.

Why Los Cabos Made The List 

Los Cabos is on the list of best places to visit in October and is a great place to visit in the fall in general, for a few different reasons.   

One is that hotel occupancy drops considerably, which means fewer crowds and often lower hotel rates.   

It’s also dry during the fall months and the chance of inclement weather is minimal.   

These factors contribute to the benefits of visiting the vacation destination during this “shoulder season” that occurs between summer and the busy winter, but there’s more.

Perfect Weather To Experience Los Cabos Nature 

With the milder temperatures and little chance of rain, the fall months are the best time to get out and enjoy nature in and around Los Cabos.   

Activities like horseback and camel riding on the beach, hiking the nearby hills and mountains, and riding an ATV through the desert are all much more comfortable in the nicer weather.   

And the smaller crowds mean more tours are available.   

Better All-Inclusive Availability  

There are a lot of amazing all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos, but during the busiest seasons, winter and spring, occupancy is often near 100 percent.   

And just like with anything else, the best deals and the best options are going to sell out first.   

During the slower fall months, the availability of all classes of all-inclusives is definitely better and may even give you the option to stay somewhere you might not be able to during the busy seasons.   

More Connectivity With The U. S. 

During the fall, particularly late fall, you might be able to fly direct to Los Cabos from a city that you can’t during the summer.   

Many airlines add seasonal routes, some that start sometime in November.   

Other airlines that already have routes from certain cities also increase the frequency of those routes, raising the overall connectivity between Los Cabos and the U.S. 

No Shortage Of Things To Do 

No matter what season you visit Los Cabos, there is plenty to do.   

Despite being considered a beach vacation destination, many visitors come for everything from the nightlife to nature.   

But during the fall, you get Los Cabos a little bit more to yourself and some other great benefits too.
