Los Cabos has been a popular vacation destination since the 1970s.   

It’s only recently, though, that it really started becoming a favorite place to visit for international tourists from all over the world.   

In fact, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Economy (SETUE), just over the last four years, tourism in the destination has grown 40 percent. 

Los Cabos Tourism – Past, Present, And Future 

Prior to the 1970s, Los Cabos was more of a destination for rich businessmen and famous celebrities, but it didn’t take long for word to get out about the beautiful beaches and relaxing atmosphere.   

Now, Los Cabos continues to skyrocket in popularity with travelers.

Amazing All-Inclusives 

One of the most important things to consider when planning a vacation in any destination is the accommodations.   

Where they’re located, how they’re rated, what they’ll cost, and, most importantly, what they include and what level of service is provided, because after all, it is a vacation, so you want to be comfortable.

While Los Cabos is not strictly a nightlife destination, there is an epic nightlife scene for those who like to go out and have fun.   

In the downtown area, there are some hugely popular nightclubs.

Los Cabos has one of the most diverse landscapes in North America, with deserts, mountains, and oceans all part of the scenery.

Wide Variety Of Activities  

Thanks to the diversity of the natural surroundings, there is a wide variety of activities to enjoy when visiting Los Cabos.   

Water and boating activities, hiking and biking, adventure activities, and horseback and camel riding are just a few of the outdoor experiences to enjoy in Los Cabos.   

Additionally, visitors spend their time shopping and visiting markets, enjoying the hotel amenities, and visiting nearby towns too.

Cultural Richness 

While Cabo San Lucas itself is a bit touristy and commercialized, there is still plenty of culture to be found in Los Cabos.   

In San Jose del Cabo, there is a charming old town to walk through, filled with authentic Mexican restaurants, shops, and art galleries.   

Also located only an hour from Cabo San Lucas is the Magic Town of Todos Santos, which is known for its cultural richness.   

Only two hours from Cabo is the capital city of La Paz, which is rich in both culture and nature.  Both places are perfect for a day trip when visiting Los Cabos.

Incredible Beaches 

Last but certainly not least, as they are Los Cabos’ biggest claim to fame, are the incredible beaches that line the coast between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.   

While not all beaches in the destination are safe for swimming, they are all beautiful, and there are even a few amazing beaches that are swimmable.   

But even those that are not are perfect for a relaxing beach walk to take all of your worries away on your Los Cabos vacation.
