Los Cabos is a popular vacation destination that continues to grow in popularity at an exponential rate, and now one of the busiest seasons is about to begin in Los Cabos.
Currently, hotel occupancy is at about 70 percent, and officials are expecting that number to grow considerably over the next several weeks.
For this reason, and five others, now is the best time to book your Los Cabos vacation.
High Hotel Occupancy
While hotel occupancy in Los Cabos is only averaging about 70 percent now, officials are expecting it to reach more than 80 percent in the near future.
This means it will be more difficult to find accommodations, and they’ll go up in price as hotels fill up.
Booking now is the best way to try to get exactly what you want for your Los Cabos vacation.

New Hotel Openings
Another great reason to book your Los Cabos vacation right now is all of the new hotel openings that are going on.
You could be one of the lucky few to be the first to experience one of the amazing new luxury properties coming to Los Cabos.
One of the most anticipated new resorts coming to the vacation destination is the Grand Velas Boutique Hotel, which is already accepting reservations for December 21st forward.
Also coming in early 2024 is the Four Seasons Resort & Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol.
Whale Watching Tours Selling Quickly
Winter in Los Cabos is a time for whale watching, as this is when whales migrate from Alaska to the warm waters surrounding the destination to give birth and mate.
Because it is such a popular activity, whale-watching tours sell out quickly, so if you want to experience this much-loved activity, you’ll want to book it early.
On Viator, where many whale-watching tours are offered, a number of the tours are already listed as “Likely to Sell Out.”
So now is the time to start looking if you’ll be visiting during whale watching season, which runs from mid-December to April.
@rachellikestraveling Whale watching but make it Luxury! Cabo is easily the best place that I have ever gone whale watching! There are plenty of places you can go but in Cabo I have always seen whales and we actually saw one breech today!!!! To bad we didn’t get it on video 😂 What makes this luxurious though? Instead of taking one of the small zodiac boats out where you have to wear a life jacket, they can’t go as far into the ocean & there is no bathroom, you can go out on a catamaran where they serve you drinks 2!

Exciting Events Coming Up
The wintertime is also a great time for events in Los Cabos.
The Art Walk in historic San Jose del Cabo starts back up, and the Sabor a Cabo food and wine festival takes place in December.
Additionally, the hotels gear up to celebrate the holidays, and various holiday-related events take place throughout the Los Cabos area.

Avoiding Spring Break Crowd
Another great reason to get your Los Cabos vacation in now is so that you can avoid the Spring Break crowd.
Spring breakers start showing up at the end of February and stick around until the beginning of April, and once it’s over, the Easter crowd follows.
From February to May, Los Cabos is packed with tourists, so if you’re looking for a more laid-back vacation and don’t want to pay Spring Break hotel rates, the next few months are when you’ll want to vacation in Cabo.
What You Can Expect To Pay For Your Los Cabos Hotel Right Now
Since winter is one of the busiest seasons in Los Cabos, hotel rates are higher than in the summer months.
Currently, the average hotel rate is around $500, which means you could end up paying more or less, and when you book, your hotel will significantly determine your rate.
If you book early, you might be able to get into one of the highly-rated hotels that are only running around $150 a night.
Solmar Resort and the Mayan Monkey, for example, are running about $156 and $148 a night, respectively, for dates in November.
Los Cabos’ Growing Airport Connectivity
It’s now easier than ever to get to Los Cabos, thanks to the growing airport connectivity.
Currently, direct flights are available from 28 U.S. cities.
But flights fill up just as fast as hotels do, so now is the time to book your Los Cabos vacation.
