Winter in Los Cabos is a time for whale watching, as this is when whales migrate from Alaska to the warm waters surrounding the destination to give birth and mate.

Whale watching but make it Luxury! Cabo is easily the best place that I have ever gone whale watching! There are plenty of places you can go but in Cabo I have always seen whales and we actually saw one breech today!!!! To bad we didn’t get it on video 😂 What makes this luxurious though? Instead of taking one of the small zodiac boats out where you have to wear a life jacket, they can’t go as far into the ocean & there is no bathroom, you can go out on a catamaran where they serve you drinks 2!

The Art Walk in historic San Jose del Cabo starts back up, and the Sabor a Cabo food and wine festival takes place in December.

Avoiding Spring Break Crowd 

Another great reason to get your Los Cabos vacation in now is so that you can avoid the Spring Break crowd.  

Spring breakers start showing up at the end of February and stick around until the beginning of April, and once it’s over, the Easter crowd follows.   

From February to May, Los Cabos is packed with tourists, so if you’re looking for a more laid-back vacation and don’t want to pay Spring Break hotel rates, the next few months are when you’ll want to vacation in Cabo.   

What You Can Expect To Pay For Your Los Cabos Hotel Right Now 

Since winter is one of the busiest seasons in Los Cabos, hotel rates are higher than in the summer months.   

Currently, the average hotel rate is around $500, which means you could end up paying more or less, and when you book, your hotel will significantly determine your rate.   

If you book early, you might be able to get into one of the highly-rated hotels that are only running around $150 a night.   

Solmar Resort and the Mayan Monkey, for example, are running about $156 and $148 a night, respectively, for dates in November.
