An American tourist was rushed to the hospital on Monday afternoon following a dramatic water rescue at a popular beach in the Los Cabos tourist corridor.

The incident occurred just as local authorities issued a severe safety warning regarding a powerful new ocean swell that is currently creating highly dangerous swimming conditions across the region.
