If you’re into the nightclub scene, you’ll definitely want to choose Cabo San Lucas over San Jose del Cabo.   

To be sure, you will find some great little bars in San Jose del Cabo.

El Medano, or Medano Beach, is the longest of the swimmable beaches in Los Cabos and no doubt the most active as well, and it’s located in Cabo San Lucas.

Even more iconic than Land’s End is the Cabo San Lucas Arch, and no trip to Los Cabos is complete without a picture of it.   

If you stay in San Jose del Cabo, you might miss out on seeing this famous landmark, but if you stay in Cabo San Lucas, there is a very good chance you’ll see it multiple times throughout your vacation.

If you’re looking to do a little shopping during your vacation, especially high-end shopping, then Cabo San Lucas is probably where you’ll want to spend your time.   

San Jose del Cabo is great for more authentic items and art, but there are a number of great shopping outlets in Cabo San Lucas for higher-end items.
