As one of the premiere luxury destinations on the planet, it’s only right Los Cabos makes the list of highly anticipated luxury resorts, right?
Wrong. Los Cabos found a loophole in making the list through nearby La Paz.
Out of the “Top 24 Hotels and Resorts for 2024” list curated by Element Lifestyle, Los Cabos didn’t make the cut.
La Paz, however, is close enough and becoming more popular as a main stay or day-trip destination. It’s hotels of this stature that make La Paz all the more enticing to visit.
Rather than highlight the greatness of Los Cabos, La Paz’s highly-anticipated Chablè Sea of Cortez is already being named a top resort before they even open their doors.
Movin’ On Up
Mexico has become so popular that hidden gems are harder to find. La Paz is on the cusp of ‘hidden gem’ status, but it’s continuously trending upward in popularity.
As of now, there are no direct flights from the U.S. to La Paz, so travelers have to fly into Cabo and add another 2 hours on the road to get here.
Yet, that is the only blemish this city holds as the calmer coastal city has rave reviews from those who have given it a chance.
Not as well known for lavish amenities and all-inclusive resorts like Cabo’s world-renowned reputation, La Paz has a different vibe, yet there are still plenty of luxurious places to stay.
La Paz’s Latest Luxury Resort News
One time in high school, I turned in an essay assignment with only a single sentence while the rest of the class completed full pages – yes, plural.
The feedback I received that day was something to the effect of, “Sam, this is about the most miserable piece of work I’ve ever read.”
What Mrs. Bratcher said that day is how we should all feel about Chablè Sea of Cortez’s official website – there is nothing on it!
Rumors are swirling about the opening date in ‘early 2024, but all their website confirms is they are “coming soon”.
Those who are hearing of this resort for the first time may have more patience than others as there have been delays after delays for years.
Chablè was originally slated to open in 2021, but, ya know, Covid…
However, Element Lifestyle included them in their 2024 list, so hopefully, ‘soon’ is right around the corner.
The Details We Know For Sure
With many details being kept close to the vest, what we do know is this resort will be worth the wait.
Social media has revealed some goodies over the years. Like the fact that the architects behind the curtain have come up with incredible designs for the property.
With Los Cabos seeing millions of tourists, this resort alone will give Los Cabos’ resorts a run for their money in terms of luxury and exclusivity.
How many Los Cabos resorts have a private beach? Chablè does. Not only a private beach but futuristic pod-like structures with attached terraces and gardens offering unbelievable unobstructed views.
With your own beach just steps outside your room, you may be a rare tourist who actually skips out on one of the best beaches in the world on your trip.
It’s not a trip to Baja without getting some sun, so when you finish up at the secluded beach you can hop over to the waterfront pool.
Although, each room comes with its own secluded plunge pool for your own use. Guests can be pampered at a world-class spa too, a common trend for Baja vacations.
At this time, since there is no official opening date, reservations are not being accepted. There’s not even a listing yet on third-party websites, such as Booking.com.
