We at The Cabo Sun love when a trip lines up with a true locals’ celebration—and this October, Cabo San Lucas is throwing a week-long party you won’t want to miss.
The city’s Fiestas Tradicionales are back October 17–23 with a full slate of cultural events and free mega concerts—no tickets needed.

When & where the concerts happen
Municipal officials confirmed the fiestas run Oct 17–23 and emphasized free, public access to all events.
Most mainstage shows are held at the fairgrounds by Walmart Plaza San Lucas (the classic “feria” site), with additional pageants and community programming in Plaza León Cota Collins downtown.
If you’re planning meet-ups, those two spots are your anchors.

Who’s playing? (and what’s official vs. buzz)
The full concert lineup is being rolled out by the municipality. In the meantime, big names have been teased or self-announced on social media—including Marco Antonio Solís “El Buki” and other popular acts that have posted Cabo dates tied to the fiestas.
Treat any third-party “posters” as unofficial until you see them on the Ayuntamiento’s channels or the municipality’s website.
If you want a preview of the vibe and what else happens around town during October, we recently covered how the fiestas bring a full slate of music, culture, and sport—a great primer if you’re building your itinerary. How to avoid fake tickets (yes, scammers are trying)
Here’s the most important thing to know: admission is free and there are no tickets for sale. City officials have explicitly warned residents and visitors not to buy “tickets” from pages or sellers claiming otherwise. If someone flashes a QR code or claims “limited VIP presale,” you’re looking at a scam. Verify details only on the Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos Facebook page or the municipal site.
Scam awareness is a year-round must in any busy destination. We’ve broken down the patterns we see most often—everything from bogus “official” pages to too-good-to-be-true offers—in our piece on the top 5 scams travelers need to know for 2025. Give it a quick read before you head out so your fiesta night stays about music, not headaches.

Practical tips for a smooth concert night
- Arrive early. The fairgrounds by Walmart Plaza San Lucas get busy; arriving before sunset makes parking and rideshares easier. (City briefings have used this location as the operational base for 2025.)
- Know your stages. Big shows = fairgrounds; pageants and some community events = Plaza León Cota Collins. Many nightly programs start around 8:00 p.m. (pageant times), so plan dinner accordingly.
- Bring only essentials. Expect bag checks. Pack light, carry an ID, and have some cash for food stalls and rides.
- Use official updates. For last-minute schedule drops or weather adjustments, follow:
- Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos on Facebook (they’ve posted “Acceso total… público y gratuito” reminders).
- Municipal website for location/program notices and civic events tied to the fiestas.
- Skip the “resale.” Again: there is no legitimate ticket resale because there are no tickets.

What else is happening during fiesta week
Beyond the concerts, the fiestas blend cultural exhibitions, sports, pageants, and family activities—it’s a community celebration first, with visitor-friendly energy.
Expect food stalls, fair rides, and local arts alongside the headliners. If you’re mapping out days, our October fiesta explainer above is a handy starting point.
Quick safety & transport notes
With big crowds comes the usual urban savvy. Stick to well-lit routes, use authorized taxis or rideshares, and ignore unsolicited “VIP access” offers near the gates.
