San José del Cabo is about to get loud, delicious, and a little boozy—and no, you don’t need to be a craft beer junkie to join the fun.
On Saturday, June 14, from 4 PM to midnight, the San José Beer Fest is taking over the downtown plaza, and it’s shaping up to be one of the tastiest nights of the year.
Sure, the festival is known for pouring some of Baja’s best brews. But foodies are circling this date on the calendar too!

The Real Main Course: Food, Glorious Food
This festival might carry the “beer” name, but make no mistake—the food is the co-star of the show. One thing the locals and seasoned expats agree on? You better show up hungry.
This year’s event is rolling out a next-level lineup of eats. Expect sizzling carne asada, juicy burgers stacked to the sky, Baja-style tacos that slap, and enough grilled seafood to make Poseidon jealous. It’s the kind of night where “just one more bite” becomes your personal mantra.
💡 Insider tip: Some vendors are known to run out of their star dishes by 9 PM, so arrive early if there’s something you’ve got your taste buds set on—especially that wood-fired ribeye that practically melts with a look.
And let’s not sleep on the sweet side of things. There’ll be churros, artisanal ice cream, and desserts so rich they should come with a side of gossip.

Beer & Beyond: Drink Options for Every Traveler
If you are into beer, congratulations—this is basically your Super Bowl. You’ll be sipping your way through offerings from Baja Brewing Co., Yenekamu Brewing Co., and a handful of other local stars.
Expect everything from crisp lagers to hoppy IPAs and maybe even a spicy seasonal brew that brings the heat.
Not a beer fan? First off, we don’t judge. Second, this fest has something for you, too.
Creative mixologists will be shaking up beer-based cocktails (like micheladas that double as meals) and other drinks that don’t taste like a college frat party. There’s even talk of fresh fruit-infused seltzers, so stay tuned.
Live Beats + Nighttime Street Party Vibes
After stuffing yourself silly and getting your drink on, you’re going to want to dance it off.
Good thing the music lineup is stacked with local bands, DJs, and live acts that’ll keep the plaza buzzing all night. Whether you’re swaying to acoustic reggae or full-on two-stepping to DJ sets, the plaza transforms into a block party with that magic Cabo energy.
Bring comfortable shoes and your best “I’m-on-vacation” attitude. This is a come-as-you-are event, and dancing under the stars is basically a rite of passage.

Plan Ahead, Party Smart
This is a free-to-enter festival, but you’ll want to bring some pesos or a card for the food and drink vendors.
If you’re coming in from Cabo San Lucas, grab a taxi or a rideshare.
Parking can get dicey, and we’re firm believers in partying responsibly. Don’t drink and drive—ever.
Cabo’s too beautiful for bad decisions.
