The fall season is one of the best times to go to Los Cabos for multiple reasons, including peak wildlife observance season, fewer crowds, and the local festivities.

One of the best things to do while visiting Los Cabos in autumn is to take part in one of the many festivals put on by officials and locals.

The fall months are filled with various national and local holidays, and by going to the Baja California Sur during this time, you can dance, sing, and eat with the locals.

One of the organizers, Carmona Álvarez, denoted that there will be artistic events as well as sports, religious, and educational events scheduled for the four-day long festival.

There will also be competitions for several titles for local women, including the queen of Cabo San Lucas, the princess, and the lady-in-waiting, the latter of the three who will represent the portion of the festivities that will be held in San Lucien.

Meant to educate and celebrate the traditions and historical roots of the Sanluqunese community, the Traditional Festivals of Cabo San Lucas 2023 will have activities for all, no matter their interests, background, or budget.

National Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month

National Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month, also known simply as National Month, is a street festival typically held in Cabo San Lucas that involves live entertainment and lots of food.

Día de Los Muertos

Also known as the Day of the Dead, Día de Los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that is essentially very similar to what we know as Halloween.

One of the most well-known Latin American holidays, Día de Los Muertos, is typically celebrated in early November and is famous for the intricate face makeup that people put on (colorful skeletons).

The holiday became even more well-known outside of Mexico when it served as the inspiration for the wildly successful Pixar animated film Coco in 2017.

The people of Los Cabos gather to honor the dead and celebrate the gift of life by dancing, eating, dressing up, and enjoying live entertainment such as storytelling, musical performances, and boat parades.

With bright costumes, fascinating makeup, and cool art displays, Día de Los Muertos is fun for all who love intricate art displays.
